yeah, yesterday after a party i wanted to drive home with
my car... i was driving kinda slow, but the police wanted to
check me.
so they made me an alcohol-test, and it was positive with
0,1 promile :/.... fucked up. i drank about one beer 4 hours
before the caught me.... i was sure it was gone out of my
body...

similar problems ??

Man that sucks. 1 beer probably makes you a BETTER driver.

2 kids (a couple) just a few months younger than me, died of
a car crash in my city not even a week ago. i was in class 3
years in a row with the boy. and the girl was 5 weeks
pregnant with his baby.
the day after their deaths, they found the girls lighter at
the scene, and it said "don't take life too seriously....
you'll never get out alive"
a friend of mine went to the girls funeral today, and it was
open casket and 1/2 of her face was plastic.

also, my friend sarah and i were driving around drunk the
same night... we probably passed them at least 3 times that
night too.

yeah, i don't have a car, but i have a license. not having
transport sucks - you can't help but feel isolated all the
time. on the bright side, you'll be polluting less, so when
the world dies from global warming in ten years, no one can
blame it (as much) on you.

that sucks dude, i had my license suspended and then was
arrested for driving with no license....**shrugs. a good
lawyer can probably help you with that though. good luck.

I have no drivers license. I love living in a small town
where I have everything in walking distance. Sometimes I
ride a bike though, e.g. if I'm in a hurry or want to
explore the surroundings, or just want to get somewhere
quick.

I am not sure I have heard your electronica (?),

what did you do in the band?

If you think you are close to the limit you should refuse to
give an on the spot breath test (stating that a small amount
of alcohol passed your lips within the last half an hour)
and take one at the station instead after requesting legal
representation, this gives you about another hour for the
alcohol level to reduce. I'm not sure if you can do this
where you live though.

It's odd how things like drunk driving weed out those stupid
enough to attempt them, though it's too bad it's not more
efficient...

really...
I have no respect for people who aren't proper enough to
drive (be it they are bad drivers, under the influence of
drugs, or tired), because you might end up hurting someone
real bad.
A drunk driver is a loaded gun trying to control a highspeed
fourwheeled bullet.

do you need my respect to have fun?
Risking innocent peoples lives for your own good is
egoistic.
I've ridden my bike drunk a couple of times... but that's
it,
I'd never drive a car drunk, it's totally different.
It's not worth risking other peoples life - if the risk is
there.

I am an egotist though. I get told that all the time. I am
also self centered and arrogant.

its nice of you to set the moral president for what is and
isnt acceptable with regards drink driving.

check my post [#01177210] for how I feel.
Drink driving is one problem, but the main problem is
unproper driving.
Risking peoples' lives is horrible, and if you don't
understand that, then that's your problem. I live in a small
town so driving my bike around slow n safe where there is no
traffic won't kill anyone, including myself.

Unless you accidently plow into a pensioner while drunk and
she dies from shock with broken hips etc.

I understand your criticism, but if I drive my bike drunk
(which is really rare, since I live in walking distance of
everything) I drive it at night when very few people are out
walking. I am not saying that it couldn't happen, but just
that I take it really easy and under the circumstances it's
just not very likely to occur.

That's the same arguement a lot of drink drivers use :D

The answer is simple. Between 12am and 6am, the roads (and
adjoining pavements) should become "no go areas". IT
wouldn't be illegal to be out- simply you're responsible for
yourself. Street racing, drink driving, etc. all fair game.

On a more serious note, every time a taxi driver is caught
charging not on the meter, they should be done for
contributive negligence for DUI accidents. Sounds silly, but
I know people who drink drive simply because of how much
taxis take the piss (three times what it would cost on the
meter etc.)

hm... not that bad though... on tuesday i have to go to the
police again anf talk to their psychologist, if i'm still
able to drive. after that i will propably go to court with
that.... sucks !!

so the worst thing that can happen is - 12 months without
license....
the middle thing is - 6 months (what i expect to get)
the best - 200 zl and a kick in my butt....

wish me luck !!
