I am sure all swedes are familiar with this great band, but
what about the rest of you?
They are really one of the best swedish bands ever.
The reason I came to think of them was my points was just
747-something (but it's at the moment of writing 7480 and
will be 7481 when I post this.
Anyway check these guys out!
They have even made some english versions of their albums.
Anyone familiar with this band?

oh and why 747 made me think of them is:

1) they have a track called 747 which is 7:47 long and one
of my fav Kent-tracks
2) I listened to "747" a lot the last weekend
3) They played "747" at the end of a radioshow I attended as
a guest today.

They differ a bit in style from each album...
but it's soft rock. Atleast "Isola" and "Hagnesta Hill" is
available in english (and thoose albums are great!)

I hope you like it, I do - a lot.
but it took me several years to get into them, I mean they
have had lots of singles since they started, but I didn't
get into them for real until 2001 (their first album came in
1995).

I really like "Elvis". The lyrics are hilarious, like it's
some lunatic poet singing.

I like them too.

"Innan allting tar slut" or "Before it all ends" is such a
beautifull song.

Another favorite is "Sverige" and "Kevlarsjäl"

i have all the english albums and saw them live in london
one time - sweet swedish rock -

question for key - would a english speaker apreciate the
b-sides double cd they bought out?

yeah. I'd say so.
I think that compilation is worth getting just for the track
"Chans" which is one of the tracks that got me into Kent a
lot (but then the lyrics on that track is totally awesome
aswell).

But if you like HH and Isola, you have to get "Verkligen"
(their 2nd album)... Many people say it's their best. If you
like their other albums you will not dislike it (unless you
hate foreign music [I mean with lyrics you don't
understand])...

my gf is totally into Kent, i think they have allot of nice
track but i still cant listen to them to much.. a bit too
slow for me, and the latest records isnt very good is it ? i
have not checked it out too much but from what ive heard
it's a bit mainstream and far from as good as the older
stuff

I really like the last album (although I like the earlier
albums more... except maybe the 1st one)... and yeah I guess
it's a bit more mainstream (atleast it's different from
their earlier albums).
I don't think went out to do a mainstream-album just to sell
records though.

The album (vapen och ammunition) has got several good
tracks, and one of my fav kent tracks ("Socker", track 7).
It's not a bad album at all, not just as quite as appealing
to me, as the previous. But "Socker", is damn awesome...
wonder how many times I've listened to it since I discovered
it. heh

okok, well, i wont ever be patient enough to listen to one
whole record enough to really "get into" it.. it's just a
bit too slow.

but it's still nice and they are one of very few swedish
