The only way to gain muscleweight is to excercise.
And why would you want to gain any other weight?
Eat healthy, understand that you need to get a certain
amount of minerals and vitamins so your body will not be
hurt.
And get your vitamins/minerals from a good source; not pills
and preferably not cooked food - get it from raw food. Eat
atleast 6 raw fruits per day (that's WHO's recommendation
[... or maybe they recommended 8, can't remember]).

Think about it. It's better to be 20 pounds underweight
than 20 pounds overweight. No arguing about it.

I saw something on this on TV and they said really skinny
people might need to eat 5-7 times a day(!) to gain weight.
That's not very cheap.

I'm on a diet. 5th week now. It's not really a diet, but I
cut off sugar completely, only eat one warm meal a day and
sallad or fruit after work. Only 5 weeks and I can already
put on a pair of pants I thought I'd never get back into
again. All this without training or exercise. I do take long
walks with my beloved cameras, but that's about it.

I had the same problem in my teens.

How old are you? Are you still growing ? Are you tall ?

I was really skinny but gained to normal healthy weight when
i stoped growing.

I'm about 5'11', 130lbs. I'm guessing at my weight, I must
weigh a little more, but I feel thinner. I used to be
120~125

It doesn't seem to matter what size or weight you are cos
there's always someone out there who likes that shape.
Fat/thin/somewhere-in-between, there will always be someone
who finds it appealing. So the only real reason to put on or
lose weight is for personal happiness and feeling good about
yourself.

Just my cent and another cent

and young.

To answer the question: stop smoking, eat the right stuff
for your metabolism/lifestyle, do things that make you happy
(depression causes anxiety which affects weight one way or
another) and try your best to learn to stop feeling unhappy
about your weight.

think I'm too thin. Gain weight is impossible for me. Even
during Christmas Holidays!

1 pound = 3500 calories.

eat high calorie foods.. but make sure they're healthy foods
or you'll be more concerned about other health issues soon.

i would love to be under-weight.. but i also love curves..
it really depends on the day.

why is everyone soo concerned, obsesed, addicted, worried,
stressed about weight? i mean.. it's only WEIGHT!

people should focus on being healthy.

and honestly, i am much more intrigued by the human brain..
our minds, thoughts, creativity, ideas... rather then our
fleshy bodies. i think we need to spend more time developing
our minds then trying to fit into a certain image, size,
ideal (airbrushed swim suit model) 's body.

if people knew how to be healthy, and if north american
culture wasn't so un-healthy, then there wouldn't be so much
obesity and maybe people could actually BREATH and wake up
without thinking about losing, , dieting, sizes , WEIGHT
etc, and actually be more productive.

i dunno.. think of how much money, time, self-esteem,
thoughts, stress is spent on weight. it's sickning. north
america is enslaved to this addiction of weight.

particularly obsessed just thought some may be able to
relate.

yeah I agree with you totally.
And few things are more attractive than true health. I mean
smells! People forget about it, but smells are among the
most important senses, and the natural smell is just so
great with some healthy people.
And really, if you eat only natural/healthy food you
wouldn't have any weightproblems, because you would get your
natural weight (I am not making this up, it's the truth).
And today, I've only eaten raw food for five days, and my
skin is just so soft. I love that. it will be weakened to,
once weekend and alcohol comes. But til then I will enjoy
myself, haha, not talking about masturbation, just the way I
feel.
I feel great.

yea that's awesome. raw foods are the best.. veggies, fruit
and whole grains.. and those are all naturally low in
calories so no one should really have a problem as long as
they don't over-eat all the time and binge.

i have somewhat of the same problem,.....

i'm about 6'4" and weigh 138 lbs. I have an ungodly high
metabolism rate. I eat normally to a lot every day,.....and
the doctor told me to drink protein shakes (ewww) and/or
frozen yogurt shakes (another eww)....I think after a few
years when I stop growing and I've been to over 35 college
keg parties I'll be fatter than a beaver with gonorhhea.....

Scared of tall people ? We are the most mellow ones.
Its the small people who are agressive.

Its like with dogs you know , its the small dogs that chase
the mailman (trust me i know hehe! )

what I mean is, the idea of really tall people is surreal to
me, and scary. And yeah I agree most tall people are nice
:)
but it's just a scary thought.
I had these ideas of people being 5 m long and buying
special clothes from really large stores, and they made me
scared.

Actually when i think about it , it kind of freaks me out
when i meet people who are taller then me. Im not used to
the feeling of being short.
I had a friend that was 2.05 m and it felt very strange
standing next to him.

Cripes almighty! One inch taller than me (I'm 5'10'' or so)
and 20 pounds lighter? I didn't think they came any

I can't gain any wieght either. I think I keep loosing it
actually. I'm 5'6 and weigh 110lbs. 7 years ago I weighed
130lbs. I'm not too worried about though, I'll probably be
super-fat when I get older.
