what releases of importance are coming up in the near
future? I know there's a Bjørk album in the works, and I
know Nas is making a new album... aside from that, I haven't
had the time to check up on what is being released.

however, this is only electronical music-releases, and while
I am happily reading and noting dates for certain releases,
I would also like to know if anyone knows of any nu-jazz,
jazz, hip-hop and trip-hop releases.

Actually there are no releases that I'm waiting for right
now, except for BoC (delayed until next year, I bet). Sqp,
Tortoise and Fennesz have released their goodies for this
year, and I'm happy with it.

Not really. I usually know whats coming :)
But there is always possibilities for some stuff I didn't
know about. I talked to a guy who had just received KimH:
"For the ladies" from SS, and he told that it was very poor
