been relaxing) has turned out fucking awesome.
It's not yet finnished though, but needs to be finnished

the times are recited by memeory, but I beleive they are
mostly accurate

3:00

we head off to pick up tony, slight detours have to be made
to help a friend (shannon) try and move his oil filter on
his french excuse for a car, the "citroen" after raw
strength can't seem to get it off, we hammer a screwdriver
through the oil filter and BEND the screwdriver as opposed
to turning it, we decide we can't really help head off to
tony's

4:00

arrive at tony's get stuff, and leave, tony's wearing the
most awesome berae (or beatnick hat as he calls it) and I
convince him that he should his guitar for some good ol
kumbayah action by the fire later tonight, we're both
pumped, and ready to go by around 4:15

5:00

we arrive at penrith plaza, walk around for a bit, I go into
a cd store and buy a coldcut album that comes with a free
ninjatune sampler, and seeing as that record label has done
me little wrong in the past, I buy coldcut cd with the
sampler even though I haven''t heard any coldcut,

6:10

we arrive at the train station, say good bye to emmeh and
the crew, and wait,

and wait,
and wait,
A TRAIN COMES!
wait, this isn't our train,...
and wait,
and wait,
and then here it is,......

7:30

we're on our way!!
I put on my mix cd, and tony puts on his, and we're both
bopping away all psyched up for the trip, then all of a
sudden it starts to get really cold and in fact, IT GETS SO
COLD THAT I TURN INTO A MINIATURE COW AND TONY TURNS INTO A
DUCK, which makes our luggage seem all the more fucked to
carry, as this picture clearly demonstrates

8:15

we arrive!
I carry all my bags out and get off the train platform, and
ton puts on his military style jumper, which, when coupled
with his beree, makes him look like he's ready to start a
neo nazi revolution, especially when carrying a guitar case
that looks more like it's carrying a machine gun, we start
walking down the road in the direction that I beleive the
parks and things are, however I qwuickly realise we're
heading into nowhere and turn back,

oops.

alright, on the right path now,.. (I hope) we start heading
up a hill that makes a nice photo

and cut across a park and start the trek to where the
wentworth falls national park thingy is supposed to be, by
now it has gotten EVEN COLDER and nipples start to get hard,
and the bags seem to get heavier, and, as tony said "this
whole walking business suck whole fat load of cock" we're
both feeling really fucked and getting really annoyed, so we
stop at a bus stop to get some air

9:20

I need to pee so I pee behind hte bus shelter, and notice
what loks like a big park, in the extremeness of the cold my
piss feel like it's so hot I could melt steel with it, I get
back, and we begin walking again, we go up A REALLY FUCKING
NASTY BIG LONG HILL and find what seems like the "valley of
the water" trails, hurrah, we is teh here

so we venture down past a whole heap of houses and inn's and
cafe's all closed for hte night and go down into this picnic
area, upon further inspection we find that all of the
waterfall trails are closed >:( and all of the places we
could set up tent or make a fire are in clear view of the
public eye, SETTING UP HERE IS NOT A GOOD IDEA, so we
venture back up and find a guy that is sanding his windows,
we shout out to him but it appear he can't hear us, he
answers tho door and the first thing I notice is the
halfertrio ae track playing, WHAT THE FUCK, this guy was
about 40 years old, alone in his house listening to some
mego label ambient! alright! we ask for directions to
somewhere we can set up camp, and he say "go to a bus
shelter and there's a big park. it's probably the only real
place you could set up, I'd recommend packing up by 8am
though"

hmmm,.. this is all sounding familiar, I suppose we shoud go
there and set up camp,

9:50

we walk some, and the temperature gets even colder, by now I
am seriously wondering if it has reached below zero yet, (I
wouldn't be suprised, we ARE up in hte mountains after all)
and we come to the park and have a look,

the park is on a raised block of ground, raised in such a
way that hardly anything is visable from outside the park,
there are light bushes going right around the park that
would obstruct view, so we pitch a tent on the pitch
(cricket pitch that is) after long discussion of exactly
where we should set up,

the tent is highly packed into the bag, I swear the must
have used hardcore air pressure techniques to get this thing
in, and I really can't fathom how I'll be getting hte tent
back into the bag, but I'll worry about that in the morning

10:40

tent
FIRE,
after a good half hour trying to get a fire started we do,
the primal blood of the cavemen roars inside and we forget
about the ever decreasing temperature (at this point, my
nipples are hard enough to cut glass) we whip out some beans
and get some good eating action going, the fire start to
chip away at the three inch layer of ice covering both of
us, we rejoice, as this picture clearly domonstrates

ahh,.. we got our shitty $20 tent set up, a fire going, 'you
know, tonight might not be so bad', yeah we're cold enough
to karate chop cement block and shatter our hands, but it's
all good, we'll get inside our warm sleeping bag and get
some sleep

11:20

did I say warm? holy shit it just got colder
FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK

all huddled up in the tent, "if we can just get to sleep
we'll wake up and it'll be all over", however ITS TOO
FUCKING COLD TO SLEEP, our heavy breathing coupled with our
shivering is way too much for us to get any sleep, and what
ensues is the four most arse licking hours of my life,
trying to get to sleep, trying not to shiver, trying to
breath, trying to pull my sleeping bag ever so much harder
over myself, me and tony start cracking jokes about
eskimoes, but the laughter is probably enduced more by the
shivering than anything we're saying actually being funny,
the shitiety continues into the night, and it gets colder,
and colder, and colder,.........

3:00

we get up and take a good long look at the tent

FUCK YOU TENT!

after some arse fuckery and agitation at trying to pack up
the stupid tent, I decide "fuckit lets leave the tent
behind, some kid will enjoy a new tent"

we grab our stuff and get the hell out of there, and start
walking the fut back home, it's gotten EVEN COLDER, but we
have some new found energy becuase we just want to get the
hell outta there, tony hasn't even used his guitar yet and
is cursing bringing it,

3:45 halfway back we stop for air and I take a photo of some
leaves

Im afraid to say that i failed too.

Here is the story of...

Another 24 Hour Misson XFAILEDX

6:30pm- leave house with two fat bags

7:00- after some Hillish walking, i finally reach White Rock
Beach where i lied down on some sand and caught a bit of
sun

7-930- I walked the beachline till sunset listening to SAW
II. this beach was unpopulated and the only walkable path
was the rusty old traintracks. I had no idea the strip
between white rock beach and crecent beach was so long.
anyways, the coldness kicks in and everything becomes pitch
black. literally, i was in the the middle of nowhere without
any source of light and a vast black ocean to my left which
i could hear over my headphones.

930 - Arrived at crecent beach, got a coffee and sat down on
some drift wood by a cackling fire listening to Amber.

10:00- it is so very fucking cold. even with two pairs of
jeans on, 2 shirts and a hooded sweater.. i shiver and
shiver, my teeth chattering. and with the little strength i
had in me to speak through my frozen lips i screamed
"FOR KEY-SECRET!!!"

10:03- homesick

10:15-12:10- took a LOOOOONG FUCKING walk home, i chose the
streets this time though, the path i took was pitch black
now.

so thats 6:30 - (lets say 12:00)

Five and a half hours.

sorry chris, it was just too cold.
