Who could be best electronic musician of the future between the following talents? Well I voted for Chris Clark, but I was torn between choosing him and Ovuca, but I was was kinda happy when I saw the poll results: 1) - Aleksi Perala (Ovuca / Astrobotnia) (8) 2) - Bogdan Raczynski (3) 3) - Chris Clark (10) 4) - Mira Calix (0) 5) - Andy Jenkinson (Ceephax Acid Crew) (3) until i saw this: 6) - Aaron Funk (Venetian Snare) (14) wtf. Way to think this one through, he HAS to be the 'future' considering ALL of the his PRESENT releases SOUND THE FUCKING SAME. I'm sorry but I just see Aaron spewing out the same thing he's always been doing 10 years from now. Maybe you just associate the different sounds with different things. I know that personally I identify with UK music a lot more than I do with US music...even with something like hiphop. That's not to say I don't like US based stuff I just find it less emotive in general. |

Most of them look more like part of the PRESENT, I can't imagine any of them really getting to the next level. Out of those ones, I'd choose Chris Clark. Although I suppose I like Snares' more recent stuff quite a bit, maybe there's some upside there. |
