fucking creative zen cunt

I got a Nomad Zen Xtra about a month or two ago and
suddenly one of the ears isn't working. It wasn't dropped or
anything like that to cause it, it's just suddenly ceased
working. When I swivel the headphone jack around in the
socket the left ear comes on and off so it's definatly a
problem with the socket.

Both of my friends who have Zens (one has an Xtra, the other
an NX) have had this problem. The one with the Xtra it's
happened to twice, and now he's trading his in for a smaller
capacity iPod, the other one it's happened to about 5 times
and each time he's brought it back and they've given him a
new one so he has to reload his library.

I have a 60gb one and there's only 10gb free on it. I've
spent a lot of time organising my music and sorting it all
out on it and now that looks to be all down the drain. I was
praying that this wouldn't happen but it has. What the fuck
is with the Zen that it does this and why isn't there more
outrage about it (like there was about the iPod battery)?

I could fucking kill those fucks at creative right now,
peddling their inferior machines as better alternatives to
the iPod.

... And if any of you fucking bastards work for creative,
don't think i won't hunt you down and slice your necks up
into little pieces because I will. Cunts.

can you possibly back it up to a hard drive?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=64...

160gb drive for 70 USD ending in 10 minutes.

back it up, send it for warranty, and send angry furious
letters to creative to see if you can milk some free
merchandise off them.

that's not the problem, i have 130gb of music on my server
harddrives, but it's just that if i get something done about
it (if i CAN - since i got it "slightly" second hand - the
guy had gotten credit at a creative store after bringing a
soundsystem back and so just bought lots of Zens with the
credit and flogged them off on boards.ie, so in fact it was
completely new and unopened) i'll have to re-load all the
music on which takes a LONG time over a 10mbit network and a
lot of effort.

a lot of work has already gone into this fucking thing and
now it's all down the fucking drain. CUNTISH FUCKS

doesn't matter whether it's over USB2 or firewire (which
none of my computers have), the data still has to travel
across a 10mbit network... *frowns*

Glancing at the topic header I thought you were infuriated
by an artsy woman who was into zen.

That same thing happened to my friend's Creative Nomad
whatever mp3 player. He was also, understandably, very
pissed off.

you should see the nomadnesss forums, loads od folk seeting
about the Zen and the headphone jack problem. I've got one
and emailed them jst to see what I can do if it happens to
me and they said that if it happens within a year I can get
it fixed or possibly replaced. It doesnt seem to effect
everybody, but it does effect a large number..

here's hoping I dont get the same...

I thought maybe the poster was a follower of traditional old
school zen, blasting a nu-school progressive for her
"creative" zen. Some kind of factional dispute.

I am kind of disappointed.

A cunt that facilitates meditation and self-contemplation?

That's some sweet action.

creative zen

the cunt is creative in the sense that it utilizes zen to
get into new and ever more exciting positions (plus.. she
lets you "put it anywhere!")

hehe no but it's lifted my spirits a little at least :D

apparently if they refuse to fix it it's possible to take it
apart and fit it manually soldering etc. ugh. but at least
there's light at the end of the tunnel

hey if you do that, at least if you do that, you'll know the
workmanship isnt shoddy and shouldnt fail again (assuming of
course youre adequate with a soldering iron)
