just reading the how does one....? thread and it begged the question:
When it comes to computers, are you a hardware person, or a software person?
i.e. when you get a hardware fuck up, do you cry, or can you fix it yourself, and the same with software?
Myself...
Hardware person, i'll take the whole thing apart in physical space before i go softwaring around in virtual space. I hate pissing around with programs, but i'm getting better at it, whereas hardware i can look at and go ok the video card's dicked, i'll go get a better one.

well have you ever used Mac OS X?
if so, you'd realise that
1) it's pretty damn impossible to crash the system.
2) The dock can be placed ANYWHERE on the screen if you use a freeware app easily downloaded
if macs are so shit, and they crash SOOOO often, how the fuck did he manage to edit, queue, and encode the film on a mac??
he's talking out of his arse

i can't believe you didn't know you can plug in ANY control device that uses USB
you can use graphics pads, Multiple button mice (and i'm talking like 6 buttons or something ridiculous), keyboards
i mean for fucks sake, you can even plug in a PC USB keyboard (not that you'd want to, the Windows key doesn't really match up with what it does in Mac OS X)

I'd say software. I can fix most problems with the programs I use. Also being a Mac user I've never had any real problems with hardware.
