Salvia is pretty mental. Short-acting but pretty mental. Me and my girlfriend smoke it sometimes... The first time she had it she felt like she was moving through the walls, like being pulled and i was seeing all these crazy shapes and faces in a painting i did. It was like a train tunnel with the music we were listening to making the painting move in time. The next night i had it on my own and it was kinda scary in places though. I was listening to gyroscope by BoC and the child counting FREAKED THE SHIT out of me. The room that i'm in when i'm smoking feels like it's kinda "cut up" into sections moving towards each other a lot of the time, it's pretty disconcerting but not unpleasant. Seriously though, get a pipe and just hold the smoke for as long as you can. The smoke itself tastes pretty foul, i can't even imagine chewing it. |

chewing it will do fuckall. there's a lot of buzz about in on the internet, so many distributers are exploiting mass ignorance and selling impotent stuff. basically, your body metabolizes it EXTREMELY rapidly --- so the way to do it is to use a small pinch of either the 5x, 10x (or best yet, 15x) extract, to inhale it all DEEPLY, and to hold it for as long as you can. mind you, it is a total mindfuck. nothing like 5-meo-dmt or anything, but still unlike any other hallucinogen i've tried, and i've taken quite a few. i don't find it pleasureable at all, but a lot of people do.. anyways, it only lasts 15 minutes -- but they're quire a ride sometime |

speaking of which, has anyone here tried 5-MeO-DMT? i'll tell my story. it doesn't present me under a very good light, but i might as well own up to my stupidity. this happened around october, and i was on a self-destructive binge. i acquired this mysteriously legal chemical (mysteriously because it is infinitely more powerful than say, mushrooms). i got about 50mg. 5 is considered a decent dose, and you're not supposed to go over 10. me and my friend both took 10. the experience is absolutely indescriably powerful, akin to having your mind shot out of a cannon. too powerful to make sense, or to provide any substantial entheogenic enlightenment. my friend's trip lasted about 10-15 mins. he was absolutely speechless and immobile throughout and after -- it took him about 20-25 minutes to settle down, at which point he could only say things like "wow" and "holy crap". i, apparently, was writhing in my seat and touching myself and hissing. hm. anyways, i took another 15mg dose, for some mysterious reason. similar experience, slightly longer. okay. what am i doing to myself? anyways, i'm rather unhappy with my life at the point, and am constantly looking for escapes. for some impossibly retarded reason i decide that taking the remaining 25mg will be safe, and that i'll just quickly go to bed after taking it and just experience a trip before sleeping. i snort it, get up, walk to my bed. lay down. voooooooooooom, something bad is going to happen, i can tell. i get up, feeling slightly queasy, and go to the bathroom (this is about 40 seconds after insulflation). i look at myself in the mirror and my face is pretty flashed. this is the last coherent thought i had for the next little while. i entered a trip more powerful than anything i have ever experienced -- something that makes double-digit lsd doses pale by comparison. i had no sense of self, no idea who i was, could not attribute various sensations to this or that sense (i.e. i am hearingseeing that) -- i can't really des |

describe it at all. i came to about 15 minutes later (could've been weeks as far as i was concernced). i had fallen into the bathtub, was covered in my own vomit and blood was running down my nose. my roommate was standing over me looking rather concerned. all i could manage to say for about an hour or two after is "i'm okay, i'm okay, i'm okay...". i experience flashbacks whenever i smoke too much pot and generally had to keep off drugs since. this was me at my lowest point -- rather shameful to admit now, but might as well have this serve as a warning to those psychonauts who think they can handle everything or people who think things are safe because they're legal. |

I've read about DMT, and i don't think i'm ever going to be in the right frame of mind to try it. I doubt anyone i know would be able to get hold of it anyway. Large hits of 15x salvia KIND of give me some of those effects... not knowing what sense is what, no idea where the hell i am... i'm staying away from hallucinogens for the moment because i keep having panic attacks, and i REALLY don't want to mix that with hallucinations. Have you ever tried philosopher's stones? I had a pretty terrifying experience with way too much (i actually just guessed dosage based on mushrooms, which is mindbogglingly stupid now that i come to think about it), feeling like i'd been swallowed by something satanic, died and had my soul ripped to shreds... i get flashbacks when i smoke a lot of weed too. Nasty stuff. |

Hallucinogenic fungi, related to truffles i believe. They're legal in the UK, you can sometimes buy them at headshops along with freshly grown shrooms (thank you legal loopholes). Seriously fucking strong though, not for me again. |

I once tried a silver microdot (something we rarely see round these parts, but looked like a piece of lighter flint) and had an experience with quite a few of those indescribably fucked up features - Like absolutely no sense of self, everything was in black & white, moments of complete heavenly tranquillity, followed by cut-up memories of complete confusion. The wierdest thing with microdots, unlike any other trip I've had before, was the way time was fast forwarding and rewinding and pausing, just like an 80's VCR or something. I remember that seriously confused me - Then I remember experiencing the flow of time like some kind of 1-dimensional fountain or something. This was at a big free party out in a field - The whole night was a real cut-up blur - Then was thinking in another language for the majority of the next day - Even remember a lot of words I was thinking in - All had immense significance to early childhood and all sorts of brain bending concepts and realisations about reality and how generally fucked up everything was... Quite a few of them I later recognised as Sinclair Spectrum commands. That was like nothing else - And since then I've not really enjoyed tripping so much - Find some of the realisations/thoughts a little hard to deal with these days. But yeah, as for the panic phenomenon - I once got into that cycle after taking just a few psilocybin mushrooms, I didn't even think they'd affect me - I was smoking a little weed at the time, then couldn't decide if I wanted to go into town or not... Absolutely sent my head into a spin - Went home and hid in my room for what felt like weeks (although was prolly about 3/4 hours) - Absolute nightmare experience - Just waiting for time to stand still again - Y'know when you're too in touch with the here and now, and are generally thinking way too fast for your sanity to deal with? |

Yeah, I was like that for a long time myself in general - I'd have to keep myself pretty occupied going out, getting weed, eating fast food, pretty much every waking moment for a long time! I went really straight edge for a while after a particularly bad week long drinking binge and seem to have attained some kind of zen-like tranquility now. I think about my breathing a lot - Try to keep it as shallow and slow as possible most of the time (breathing properly cures asthma, anxiety, restlessness, immune response, the list is endless) - And I can go a whole day without ever really noticing a single thought, yet still being pretty productive. It has its ups and its downs - I find it much harder to deal with the everyday chaos of the towns and cities these days, whereas I used to find it a nice distraction from the chaos of my own thoughts... Oh yeah, getting away from marijuana for a long time seemed to get me dreaming properly again, and has seemed to stop me being so aware of my thoughts... But I miss it, and will try to get back into it in moderation I think in the future. I tried this wierd herbal thing today for the first time, called Skullcap - It's completely legal in the UK - And quite easily available. It's just smoked pure in a rizla or pipe - And the effects were actually quite unexpected! Very much like bush weed, but with a slightly unusual edge. Would I recommend it? I'm not sure yet - I think I could get into it. |

(well E, maybe sometime). soon to be, or already banned in the netherlands for whatever odd reason. pro's: lots of energy, goosebumps and pleasant shivers. cons: fucked up heartbeat, which can be a bit weird at times. peyote: contains mescaline, and i'm not up for that stuff yet. they say the cactus taste is revolting. calea: not too sure about this. i bought some dream herb once but it was a mix of different herbs. i smoked a pure joint by myself and got zero effect. |
