My roomate makes his own brew, DUDES, i'm not sure if you
could call it "brew", it seems more like a wine.... but like
a 30 percent wine, whate should I mix it with?

ginger ale???

oh, I have never heard of wine being mixed before. Maybe you
could try mixing it with more wine (a cheap bottle of red)
just to get some regular wine flavour. Otherewise try
heating it and add some herbs to make muled wine, you can
get some nice results I hear.

i left some lemon juice under my bed for a few weeks once..
it smelled sorta like brandy or wine..
i didn't dare drink it, though..

How can you make cider from apple juice? Do you just leave
it to go past it's sell by date?

you need yeast to get it strong, natural apple yeast
probably wont be enough.

I have tried ginger ale on its own but I never dilute any
alcoholic drink, i find it spoils it, makes it seem weak,
stale or you loose the taste.

But I guess in your case the wine tastes like shite so you
have nothing to loose !

I have had a couple of bad experiences with wine and i cant
seem to drink it anymore, just the smell makes me want to
spew. Most unfortunate :-(

30 percent? Unless you are distilling it you won't get more
than around 19 percent (at that point the alcohol kills the
yeast). If you're distilling it, you probably need a licence
(dunno about canada, but in most countries you do).
