now i remember why I might have thought that

blodyfist.com extracts

* Rockstar Games update : The TV ads for the new Playstation
game 'Manhunt' finally went to air in the US recently, using
'Foetus Of Hell' by Aftermath as the background soundtrack.
You can download and laugh / cringe your way through the ad
by right clicking HERE. (Requires Quicktime).

* What the fuck's going on with all these TV ads? Somehow or
other we've now found ourselves knee deep in negotiations
with 'Rockstar Games' in New York. They have decided that
they want to use an Aftermath track (from FIST21) as the
soundtrack to their forthcoming worldwide TV campaign
advertising their new Playstation game called 'Manhunt'.
Manhunt is due for release on November the 19th, and the TV
ads are due to air worldwide soon after (in theory). More
info on the game : here. How did they run across the
Aftermath track in the first place? File sharing of course.
We'd hereby like to thank anyone who ever ripped NCL TRAX
V1.0 to MP3s and shared them around on the net. Keep it up
please, our bank accounts are fucking loving it.

yeah... i was going to say that... i don't really feel like
i was extremely excited about anything that i've purchased
that has come out recently... but they've all been lovely
purchases...

and as far as Prefuse goes... that was the most stoked i've
been about getting a record... probably ever... i bought it
the week before it was slated for release from my local
record store... and then took the bus downtown, stopped at a
pizza place to have a bite to eat before going to a movie...
saw a movie (can't remember what now... but i have a feeling
it was this japanese film called "Uzumaki")... went to the
big bank of montreal downtown... LEFT my OWE vinyl, next to
the atm... went back to the car (which was a few blocks
away)... realized i had LEFT the OWE vinyl... and we drove
back, quickly, to the bank, and i picked it up between my
hands, and hugged it tight... then we listened to it
downstairs in my friend's house, on low volume so we
wouldn't wake up his mother... and we played goldeneye...
and it was awesome, just like when i heard a few of the
tracks off of it at his live set about 5 months earlier...
(i could carry on, and tell you about how i marked a guys
shirt with a permanent marker when i walked up to prefuse to
get him to sign this little prefuse flyer for me... but
well, you know... )

richard devine - asect:dsect

the european release came a lot sooner than in north
america. i didnt know that the delay would be so long, so i
waited for it to be available to order. when it finally
was, it took a loooong time for it to be delivered. i
eagerly looked every day in my mailbox to see if it arrived,
like a kid waiting for santa clause!

i havent been waiting for a release as much as that one
since.
