What does this mean translated?

En As I Dype Skogen

En Grind stod apen, en rytter viste seg.
En Kald Take hadde lagt seg over marken.

Ni armerte menn, pa ni gra stolte hester,
bar en fane hvorpa íyet viste seg.

Ihver en natt er et nytt mírke.
Ihver en Vinter fryser jeg,
men dog Aldri skal jeg grate,
for Stolt red jeg jo dengang,
ut av den dype skogen.

and this please:

Over Fjell Og Gjennom Torner

Over fjell og gjennom Torner
Gjennnom den One Dunkle Skog
Dí som ein Kriger, Hodet pa eit tre
Skj‘r i kjítt. Naler dype i huden ned.

Ravners nebb i Blod vil fratse
efter Slaget har holdt sted
Pansrede kropper i Grusom kamp
íkser plantet, Sjeler led.
Kolde Sverd som huden apner
Har som lukter friskt av blood

Den Norríne Rase ma Slakte den andre
nar blammen dunker for tungt pa var dír

hmmm... isn't there some site that allow you to translate
phrases, upon typing them in? i think its called "babble" or
something.

though now that i think of it, a norwegian would probably be
more helpful. :)

it means (approximately):

a hill in the deep forest

a gate was open, a rider appeared
a cold fog had laid itself over the fields
nine black horses, and nine armed men
an eye stared angrily down from a flag

silence lowered itself as the party (party not as in
"HWWEEEY! PARTY!!!," but as in "a gang of people travelling
together) halted
they halted in a circle around a rock
silently, they rode towards it, and when they arrived, they
disappeared.
for rocks was a thought filled with force

stars on a sky, which never falls down
lightflashes in a night that lasts forever
a thousand cold winters, with only cold and despising
there is no summer without winter

In an old forest, where trolls and tusser (smaller trolls)
walked
there was a rock that moved, and became life.
nine armed men, on nine grey proud horses,
carried a banner whereon the eye appeared

in every night there is a new darkness
in every winter, I am cold
but I shall never cry, though
because i once rode in pride
out of the deep forest

second one:

over mountains and through thorns

over mountains and trhough thorns
through the evil, murky forest
die like a warrior, the head on a tree
fragile flesh. nails deep in the skin

the beak of a raven will frolick
after the battle has been played
armoured bodies in horrible fighting
axes planted, souls suffered
cold swords to open the skin
they smell freshly of blood

the northern race must butcher the other
when the flame (I assume that's what you were supposed to
write, 'cause that's the norwegian word for flame, just with
an b instead of an f to start) hammers too heavily on our
door.

(that last one didn't make much sense, actually...)

from the "the northern race must butcher the other" line,
I'd think so, too.

MortstoX: it is NOT nazi metal.. what they are talking about
in the northerm men and race has nothing to do with nazis or
racism or anything.. its by a band called "Darkthrone" ....
very important black metal group thats been around for quite
a while. have like 12 albums.

they are obviously norwegian and most of their albums are in
norwegian so im just asking as ive ordered a few and got
them now and wanted to know the meaning of some of the
songs.

They speak mostly of old myths before the time of christ and
old religions and being antichristian and etc etc....

the line you speak of "the northern race must butcher the
other" is just pretaining to some ancient battle or a
mythical battle between human and evil or human and human or
.... human and beast or something.
