I just bought a dual 2.0 g5 and a m-audio ozone midi
controller (built in 24 bit sound).

I want to start making music. Ok now im looking for
something basic here. I hear reason is the popular descision
so I downloaded the demo, WTF, I had no idea what the hell
was going on. All I know right now is fruity loops and
garage band. Can someone recommend me some good progs to
start with or usefull tips with reason? I'm a little timid
to purchase it since it's $300 and is basically chinese to
me. (*note I can't speak chinese)

thanks in advance

Reason will freak you out at first. It's not that hard
though. Just start fiddling and things will click into
place. If you can get hold of the manual then you're
rocking. The basics chapter is all you need.

Get the latest version of fruityloops. It has almost
everything, and once you are comfortable using it and
creating songs, you could try more software like Cool Edit
Pro or something.

yes man i forgot to mention that shitty problem...
first time i saw that site i could get in,dunno how but i
managed.
one of my friends said that you gotta try a few times to
access the site.
so if it fails the first time, disconnect and reconnect to
internet and eventually the server will accept ur ip.
i highly recommend that site, cos i found heaps off apps what
i use nowdays.
