Holy shit.

I haven't paid attention to them since they left
Vancouver... they were absolutely atrocious at the time. How
the fallen have become mighty.

I remember when the Quebec Nordiques left Canada and packed
their bags for Colorado... they won the Stanley Cup the very
next year...

Nordiques? I always thought they were the Naughtys?

yes, they've done great this year, no doubt hubie brown
deserves coach of the year.

you realize, however, that they are not likely to make it
out of the first round of the playoffs.

if the playoffs started today they would play the defending
champs in the first round. the only real hope they have is
moving up in the standings to pair up with dallas or houston
which means they'd have to knock either los angeles,
sacramento, or minnesota out of the top three, which is a
long shot. they are however the best team since the all-star
break behind los angeles, so you never know.

has there been a division as strong as the midwest
ever?? with about 10 games left in the regular
season every single midwest team is above .500, that's
simply amazing. meanwhile the atlantic division has
one team above .500...

I think they have a good shot at winning a round of the
playoffs, they're definitely on a roll, and they've compiled
this record in spite of like a 7 or 8 game losing streak at
some point.

go pistons though
