Mmm that stuff smells like '93/'94 jungle. Really brings a
tear to the old eye listening to it (not quite). Brings back
the days when I thought what the hell is this racket.

That because it is 93/94 jungle (at least the first album on
Mu is). Remarc is fucking brilliant, I've always been a
major fan...he seems to be able to make tunes sound venomous
as well as dark. I haven't heard his new stuff yet but I am
looking forward to it.

There was a time when I thought Squarepusher was the
originator of his sound - but how wrong I was. (Don't get
me wrong, he's still has his moments.) But Remarc is the
fucking king.

The two albums on Planet-Mu are fucking incredible.

There are tons of people from around Remarcs time as good as
he is, before even squarepusher got on the scene (even
though he was never really part of the drum and bass scene)

it's a shame remarc hasn't made any progress on the old
jungle sound, from what I've heard it's not even as good as
the original jungle releases. I'd probably like it if I had
missed out on jungle the first time round but this stuff is
a bit boring to my ear.

If you are talking about the Soundmurderer album then most
of those tracks and remixes where done at the time and just
rereleased by Mu, I haven't heard his new album yet.

I assume remarc has a good planet-mu release

IF you think remarc is good just try anything from around
that time on Metalheads, MovingShadow etc. Squarepusher was
late on the scene, I can remember buying his conumber EP way
back then and realising he was doing something slightly
different and loving it.

Old jungle still gets high payback counts on my stereo.
