yeah yeah hold on there mister! HOLD YUR HORSESS!!! :D

I really liked this piece. To be honest i heard piano and i
wasnt too sure. But i really liked the slower pace that you
kept throughout the song. Is that clapping or something that
appears after certain notes? It's a nice touch. I like the
fact that there really isnt a lot of different sound in this
one. Everything is kept to a minimum and you kept the pace
quite well through out the song.

Turned out real real good IMO!!

Hmm... first off, it's incredibly hard to give advice to
ambient artists I've found... technically sure, but the
feeling, I think ambient is meant to convey a mood. But,
I'll give advice on both since I'm an egotistical bastard

All advice in that direction though you have to ask
yourself, is it really what I was going for to convey that
impression? Just because I wasn't too fond of it doesn't
mean it was wrong, just needs explaining from ya.

Technically not too bad. Mastered alright, The sounds you
choose work very well together for the most part. I like the
wind/water sounds with the specific string patch you choose,
nice combination.

The piano sounds good but stilted... very mechanical. Sounds
lifeless except for the very beginning. I'd recommend going
through and working on changing the feel of the piano line a
bit, make it more flowing and progressive. It holds the
whole piece back.... hmm... hard to see that... basically I
knew when each note was going to hit and it got boring,
hearing the same thing over and over and not in that good
ambient way where it just falls back into your brain. The
piano notes are too strong to do that, it brings you out of
whatever you were feeling and back into bleh... reality.

You change up on almost every piano note too, that adds to
that effect. I think some long drawn out lines with the
patches you choose and the water/wind sound would be really
nice for a while... and come back to the note on note effect
later.

And just because I think it would be neat, going back to
some harmonies and back to the dissonant progressions would
be very nice. Maybe stick a very soft and lovely chord
progression in there with a more human feel, some drawn out
chords with the pad/water stuff and then back to the
mechanical feeling later to balance it out and keep it
moving?

So yeah, not too much of a fan of the piece as is, but some
good ideas, post again when you've made some changes

Oh shit!!!! that was some real harsh crittics right there!
;)
I will definitly think about it...but my intention was
REALLY not to make it mechanical, so in that way I failed :(
I wanted it to be as human as possible with lots of
emotions in it...dam!

:)

It's good quality track, plays well. I do unfortunately find
it a little too random for my liking. The notes could fit
together a little better and there could be a little more
variation. These are friendly comments, don't take offence.
There's also something about the sounds you have used which
make a slightly cheesy feel i.e the old skool string. The
other strings in the background are nice, don't worry about
those. With work on the sounds, variation and key you could
make this a really nice piece of work. Keep scrubbing at it
;)

Oh yes, and a change in tempo with the piano would be a nice
touch...

If you don't make yor own sounds then you might as well be
making your tracks on ejay. Just get a mic, use your voice,
or just use a software app gen then just distort the sound
to how you want. It's brilliant stuff eyyyy!!!??

Saying that, there are exceptions for drums and percussion

50 seconds in - that percussion with delay sounds like
Friday the 13th ;) Are you emulating that man in your
avatar? :)

I would extend the piece, and take it into a a darker
territory - also, I would lower the level of the keyboard
instrument (is it meant to be a piano?). But I liked it! I
liked the sparse atmosphere it conjured up!

thanx MArlowe

Its a grand piano but a fucked with it with a lot of
different stuff....maybe its better with the main sound?

"50 seconds in - that percussion with delay sounds like

"I would extend the piece, and take it into a a darker
territory" would u like to fuck with it (in other words make
a remix)? ;)
