It was an interesting to read. But it was really though... And the fact that I know it's real... I felt really sick during the part where they tortured her to death. They really did tortured her to death...
Fuck. =(

I can't identify with loosing your own child... But loosing someone you love is never easy. And the way Shandra's parents lost their daughter gave me a headache.

Yeah it's hard to imagine someone being that cruel, over something so pathetic as well. I'm not sure how they escaped the death penalty...

This is so sick. But for some reason I didn't really feel all that nauseous reading it. I think it might have something to do with that it is so sick that uncociously it's hard to believe.

I've read a few off the site, one they refrence is the Leopold and Leob murder in the 1920's I think it was.
I mean, you know this kind of shit has happened, it's pretty horrifying but I don't think about it. It just is.
It's not as bad as some contraband videos this kid had that he put on when I was at his house with some friends.
Mostly executions and tortures in third world countries, like a bunch of guys with AK's watching a guy tied between two trucks getting his arm ripped off and then shooting him to death. I didn't like it though when there was no explanation of what was going on, like they just showed this clip and it was like 'what the fuck',
though another video he had told where these things were taking place and why they were doing it so, wasn't as bad then, just knowing that these things DO happen.

I bookmarked this thread about a million years ago, and thought i'd read it tonight. The details of the story didn't shock me at all, but the fact that people are living the murder vicariously through the "crime library" website does.
Q) What the fuck are websites like that concerned with?
A) Giving people cheap schlock thrills over elements of themselves that they won't admit to. And making money off it.
Ever read any "true detective" magazines or something like that? The truly shocking element isn't in the crimes themselves, but in the sale of the magazine. I think we all accept that humans can commit terrible, cruel acts, but corporate management of our "darkest urges", printed in technicolour... now THAT's disturbing.

the fact that people make money out of these crimes is disturbing indeed.
but still definitely not as disturbing as the crimes themselves. not even remotely close to the one on this thread. no fucking way.
i think we all accept that humans make profit out of everything they can, no?

I guess i've learned to accept that we humans are a race of murderers, and so the tabloid-ish gory descriptions on that site have ceased to become shocking, for whatever reason. The more insidious, creepingly odd thing is that people really, really want to read this kind of thing, even putting aside the fact that money is being made. It begs one real question, and one alone: why?
Considering the reason why we are so determined to lap up anything "gruesome" or "shocking", especially when we are so (apparently) morally outraged by it... the logical conclusion is that we ALL have these kind of "sick" urges, no matter how well we repress them. They simply come out in our obsessive desire to know death, and know it in detail. Personally, i find that a lot more fucked.
(And don't even get me started on the reasons behind having "young killers" or whatever section).

hmm i don't really see your point (call me crazy).
you posed an obvious question and gave the obvious answer yourself. if it is human nature to read about these things, which is what you're implying, then what's wrong with the site (asides from making money off it, as you claim). should we close our eyes and never let murder enter our minds again? what are you saying.
personally, i was very shocked by the contents of the story, and calling the website owner more immoral than the murderers... well, let's say i can't grasp that at all :/

advertising should be forbidden. if the telly didn't run for money there would be much more programs made by people who don't care about audience figures hence more cultural/intellectual programs. greed shouldn't be the heart of our system.

I only hope that little girl went insane and didn't know what was happening to her. I wish there was a way to implant the victims memories into these girls so they could experince exactly what she did without the benefit or shock or insanity.
