BOARDS OF CANADA (PRE TWOISM) WANTED

offline arnold113 from Germany on 2004-03-22 03:53 [#01113171]
Points: 97 Status: Regular

Hi there,

I am looking for Boards of Canada releases:

-Catalogue 3
-Hooper Bay
-Closes Vol. 1
-Play by Numbers
-Acid Memories

These recordings exists, they are no fakes/rumours (they
were listed on the old official BOC webpage).

But who has them/where are these fuckers? :-)

CDR copies would do. I have an extensive trading list.

Thanks in advance.

willing to trade.

Thanks in advance

You will not find these releases, since the only one who has
them are close friends of BoC. If you find them, they are
probably fake. A lot of fakes on Slsk.

they probably aren't anything special anyway, since they
weren't released.

the new boc lp is something to look forward to.

no. i really don't care if they'll be released/leaked or
not.

i've heard the 'a few old tunes' tape with their old
material. it isn't as good as their late 90's records.

what i want to have is their forthcoming album

why not combine our evil boc greed powers and find out where
they live and rob em....muahahahahaha.

then eat the tapes and hope you will morph into an octagonic
orange shape able to manifest soudnwaves perpetually
generating, oozing a warmth that will freeze people in their
step, they will turn to the light and drop their bags, wars
will end, river streams will seem slower, time will slow
enough for everyone to realize our true origin and being.
finally we will be one, at all, at ease, at the beginning
and at the end....

blah blah, i have to vent this euphoric shit once in a
while, sorry

A few of these are not as rare as you all claim. If I
remember correctly Catalogue 3 and Acid Memories were
released on CD (yes, not cassette) in 97, or 98 - right
before ``Music has the Right to Children" came out. I’m
almost positive it was a CDr run, but they are around.

As for the others, I have no idea.

I should note, just like any other rave scene from the past,
the UK had a large population of cassette collectors who I
imagine are just as anal as you or I, so if you can't get it
directly, ask around and find some people who were partying
at that time.

most likely many artists have unreleased old material that
either no one or friends and family have heard. i really
don't like the big fuss over this stuff or that it was even
announced as existing.

that is nonsense. they've never been confirmed by anyone.
the only person who claims they're real is Joyrex, and last
time i checked, he wasn't a member of hexagon sun or BoC!

some of them SOUND convincing, i'll agree, but some of them
could just as well be marumari demos or whatever. besides,
the real eraly stuff was supposed to be more guitar-y, so
whoever made up these 'early MP3's' is going to have to try
harder.
