Albums You Sleep To?

There are a few albums I only put on at night and/or when
going to sleep.

Do you have any?

Mine are:
Tim Hecker - Radio Amor and Haunt Me, Haunt Me, Do It Again
Brian Eno - Any
Global Communication - 76:14 (I never make it past the
second track)
Bjork - Vespertine (hardly relaxing, but delicate enough to
sleep to)
Aphex - SAW II
Vangelis - Blade Runner
Michael Andrews - Donnie Darko
Phoenecia - Brownout

I don't listen to music as I go to sleep...I prefer silence
to allow my imagination to wander both sonically as well as
visually.

I like to keep a certain level of atmosphere in the room
when I'm going to sleep, makes me feel more at ease.

I like to keep a certain amount of atmosphere in my room
when I am going to sleep as well, otherwise I would
suffocate and die. You are a wise young man.

all tim hecker's stuff...
and SawII
Oren Ambarchi- Suspension
Philip Jeck- Seven
i've been meaning to make a compilation of soft-edged miles
davis stufff for a while...
the trick is that there are a lot of tracks i would like to
sleep to, but there's always a noisy track on an album
midway through that spoils my sleep... so i've really got to
get around to making myself several compilations of sleepy
tracks...

i've got a 75 minute reordered version of "the tired sounds
of stars of the lid" i like to listen to when going to
sleep.

generally i don't like to listen to music when going to
sleep since it interferes with the process of closing up
shop, like customers who linger...

the music you listen to while sleeping largely affects your
dreams in sometimes interesting ways.

I don't really listen to stuff when I go to sleep, mainly
because I have no speakers in my room so I have to use
earphones, which does not make me a resident of Ear Comfort
Land. I tried to listen to Geogaddi going to sleep once but
I got too scared.

wimp!

when I bought Geogaddi & listened to it while trying to fall
asleep... I could not. It just didn't do it for me. I don't
know... just the length of the tracks & all their shit they
pack into their stuff. Don't get me wrong though, it's a
great album to trip out to, but definitely not sleep to.

For a couple monthes I've been falling asleep to Draft (i'm
always asleep by the end of surripere at the latest, I don't
think the second half would be good for sleeping), last
night it was Biosphere - Shenzhou, which I just heard for
the first time that night. Before Draft it was Coil - Black
Light District; I really like Coil and how the samples drift
around as you're going to sleep. And a while back it used
to be Selected Ambient Works Volume II, but I haven't for a
while.
