ah, am just reading inferno.. almost halfway through -- canto xiv, already having nightmares. haven't heard of kosovel -- just did a search, though, and he sounds interesting.. i'll def. look for some translations. are you slovenian?

yes i am... here's a link to some info about kosovel and some of his work translated to english
it's a great thing we had so many excellent poets, cuz it simply doesn't work the same when translated...i noticed this a lot, and my english is no where near good enough to read poetry...unfortunately
i've noticed this with dante as well...i understand italian enough to see his brilliance, and the lates collection of his works i got was translated by another great slovenian writer and he did a great work, but it simply doesn't work as great as in italian...
