if you can get yourself some psx emulation, or some "zinc"
emulation (it's an arcade emulator that's similar to the
playstation) then I suggest that you play strider 2, this is
one of those games where the makers have really paid
attention to detail and made the movement/combat physics
next to flawless,

basicaly, you are a one man army type ninja that takes to
the streets to find and fight this big bad evil dude that
controls the world

the game is so well balanced and fun that I could simply
play through it a hundred times and not get bored, anyone
into emulation enough to be able to find this game should
make an active effort to go out and get it, you never
know,.. you might get lucky and find a legit version of the
psx game,

here's a big screen of it

and here's two small ones

i wanted to play this game, but it kinda disappeared along
with so many other games that i want to play.

the turn around in video games is good, but sucks sometimes.

Strider 1 was great too... the music was thoroughly bonkers
and atonal (in a good way), and the neo-communist overtones
gave me a good laugh when i was old enough to actually
understand them.

I'm sure I had Strider 2 for the Sega Master System II

Great game, but it just came at the wrong time! A lot of 2D
masterpieces like are really underrated and
underappreciated. Shinobi 3- Return of the Master could beat
up any 3D game and then stamp on their face a few times.

Once sonic went 3d, all the games were suddenly shit. And
I'd much sooner play a 2d mega drive shoot-em-up than any 3d
half-life clone today.

CONCLUSION: PERSPECTIVE = BAD
