I am looking to convert .wav files to Akai format for use
in my hardware sampler (S01!)................I am currently
downloading SampliConv 1.01 for Win95/98..............does
anyone know if this will run under Windows XP, or can anyone
suggest another conversion app. Cheers.

Not sure of the specifics, but I believe Reload for Reason
(check the propellerhead's site) does this.

Thnx Ceri CJ............checked the site, i still can't
confirm that it will convert from .wav to akai format.....it
will do the reverse (convert Akai formatt sample CD to .wavs
or reason format), but even the screenshot they have
suggests it's only a one-way thing...............

Don't Akai provide a tool for doing this?
As a last resort, can't you just connect the line out of
your PC to the line in of your sampler and play the wav into
it? (then of course, save it on the sampler as an akai file)

The hard-wired solution works, but i loose a fair bit of
quality with such an old sampler............and i'm onto
Akai at the moment to get a software solution. What's worse
is I use to have a real neat app that would do it all for
me, but my old system crashed and i've lost it, and can't
find it on the net.

Have you tried asking people in Akai forums for a copy of
the old program (if you remember the name of it)?
