I am making a short film along with two other people. I have been deemed "editor" and music...maker. Now, I have some experience with adobe premier (I am VERY experienced with the fade effects,...), however there doesn't seem to be many options for effects outside of transitions and some random blur effects etc. I've heard that adobe after effects can be used in conjunction with premier. Does anybody here know anything about if this is true or know what after effects alongside premier can do. Thank you to anybody who answers.
ps. If you know any good links to where I might be able to find the answers I'm looking for that would be very helpful too.

after effects, premier and photoshop are all compatible, they are all adobe products. Ive only used premier in conjunction with photoshop making my own "effects" by animating a series of .bmps.
try here http://www.adobe.com/support/products/premiere.html
If something doesnt give you many options just get plugins you can get premier compatible ones here
