i want my music on the net too, but don't know how to do
that, can somebody teach me? the only way I record my music
now is on tape. Is it very simple to record it on my pc? and
how do I put it on the net?

If you've got a wave editor like SoundForge or WaveLab, you
can just run a stereo cable from the deck to the line-in
jack on your computer, assuming you have one. Probably need
a y-cable, which has left/right plugs on one end and and
1/8" inch stereo miniplug on the other.

They look like this.

"and
1/8" inch stereo miniplug on the other."

is this for a normal soundcard? delivered standard on most
pc's? i've got cubase, that's ok?

I don't use Cubase, so I'm not really sure.

From my experience, most computers have a standard line-in
jack. They're exactly like a headphone jack on a Walkman.
Just plug the two left/right plugs into the outs on your
deck, and run the 1/8' plug into the line-in on the comp.

Then again, I don't know exactly what kind of deck you have,
so I could be saying all this for nothing. :)

SoundForge is great and it can easily do what you're
wanting. You could get it off SoulSeek, if you have
broadband. I believe they're up to version 7.0 now.

Not too sure how the prices are on other apps because, to be
perfectly honest, I haven't actually bought any. :) I do
know that SF is pretty high, though.

I've also used WaveLab, which is pretty nice. May want to
check out GoldWave. Don't really know much about that
one, though. Had it for a little, but didn't really do much
with it.

I have some version of Samplitude on the same disc of apps
that I got SF from, etc. Never installed it, though.

Pretty cool?
