All-New Experimental Ambient Piece

Hello. I've completed track 1 of my three-hour ambient
project. It features such delights as me playing my south
american flute, REAL sounds of space!! and a hump-backed
whale. It does not, however, feature any birds whatsoever.

The track can be found here and feedback would be
much appreciated.

Thank-You.

hi nobby -- it was taken somewhere between Inverness and
Aberdeen, in the grounds of a castle somewhere :)

it seemed a bit empty emotionless
the last minute of the track was very good though and saved
it in someway

Interesting point--the first 3 minutes-odd consisted of
sounds of space, which I'd either had as background, or
programmed as beat... whilst the last minute was
marine-oriented. So, I guess space is emotionless, whilst
the oceans aren't? :D

I am liking this track very muh, the beginning has a nice
jungle/rainforrest feel to it, sounds like birds and insects
singing to me. The second half seemed like a complete
change, like from day to night or warm to cold. You say the
last bit was marine-oriented, I think I can hear a whale
singing or something, but it still sounds like a jungle to
me apart from that, just colder and darker.

Nice work.

Thanks Jazzy J :) Glad you liked it! I like the percussive
loops I created for the first half myself, a lot... And Lee,
thanks for replying, after you already told me on SLSK that
you liked it :)

Yes I like this track simply because of the little notes
which are in it and the particular sound that u use is nice
. I've heard your others tracks and they were very
memorable. I'm a bit cheesed off I missed downloading them.
Actually there isn't much to this track and overall its a
bit dissappointing but knowing your quality I'm still
intrigued. I would imagine this would fit within your
lexicon of works quite nicely. Oh by the way thanks for
commenting on all my tracks over the months Marlowe ;-).

yeh, its tough to get through them all. If every member
posted one track all at the same time I think it might kill
me.

A lot of good tracks going around though for sure. Its a
shame because often I just can't give a track the time it
really deserves. I know myself that you spend ages creating
and fine tuning a piece and then people spend literally a
couple of minutes checking it out. But its the way the
cookie crumbles and I ain't complaing.
