Koans aren't there as trick questions, and aren't there to be compared with one another, viz "oh that koan is lousy, Koan #23 is, like, SO much better yaknow!". A student normally studies one koan intensely until they reach a realisation. The realisation associated with this koan is that there is no hand, for material things are an illusion and do not exist, therefore this no hand. Contemplating this for as long as it takes will bring about the students realisation. Koans are just one method employed by Buddhism to bring around Enlightenment. Students of Zen favour a quicker approach to Enlightenment (in this lifetime, for the process of preparation for this 'snap' Realisation may have lasted multiple lifetimes), which is why Zen Masters may be found hitting their students, giving non-sequitor answers to questions asked by their students, and shouting etc... each method employed is specific to the student asking the question, so at best, we can use these anecdotes of Enlightenment as interesting studies. Zen can only be achieved, of course, by Zen.

If one is sitting on a relatively old wooden chair, it's somewhat a creaking sound.
And if you're in some kind of room that negates all echo, you might hear more liquids oozing around your self than you will if staying perfectly still, in which case you'll mostly hear the blood flowing through your earlobes.
Though these are not all of the sounds that one hand clapping can make.
