McDonalds is getting attacked more and more on their food
being too fat.

although they will never admit to this, this is them trying
to adapt.

who eats at McDonalds anyways? the keyword here is "bland".

i don't know why people blame mcdonalds so much. it's pretty
insulting to all it's consumers... like they don't have a
mind of their own.. (which they probably don't). but yes,
blame the people... who eat the poison.

Is this not a step in the right direction?

There are direct correlations between obesity and fast food
'upgrade' meals.

I don't eat a McDonalds, but I commend them for their
effort, albeit a small one.

i don't think mcdonalds could care less about the public's
health.

this was a move to ward off suits, and to force fatties to
buy two large fries instead of one supermcbig.

I honestly don't think them removing supersizing will help.
and i dont think it's the problem.

Just because they remove a few calories from a meal means
people will lose weight? hello... thats a direct insult to
people. They're saying 'oh the american people cant think
for themseleves so if we change up a few things we'll get
them excatly where we want them'

This is just another way they're trying to reverse the
negative effects of what they created. Like how Bush wanted
to create more emplyment oppertunity.. creating more
dead-end jobs... instead of creating and investing in a
better educational system.. instead of fixing the root fo
the problem. See this way, they still have the same problems
that give them control over people.. but their hero image
can grow.

offline Q4Z2X on 2004-03-05 12:17 [#01100162]
Points: 5264 Status: Lurker

why don't they just try making their food a bit healthier?..
instead of just lessening the portions. if you were to eat a
sizable meal there, you'd probably need to eat nothing but
salad and shredded wheat the rest of the day to compensate
for the amount of fat, calories and sodium eaten there..

also they should work on a way of getting rid of that
horribly distinctive "mcdonald's breath" that one gets from
eating anything there.. you know what i am talking
about.. if you've ever given anyone a whiff after they've
eaten there, you know exactly what i mean.. a mix between
the nasty half-rotten pickles and the smell of those tiny
onion bits they like to slather on most of the sandwiches..
i reckon there's a large plastic container in the back that
houses those little bad-smelling rascals for weeks at a
time.. they'd might as well mix in some scallions, chives
and fresh garlic to maximise the bad breath effect of eating
their food.. then at least someone who was to smell your
breath wouldn't automatically correlate your nasty reek with
"mcdonalds".. they'd just figure you were trying to ward off
vampires or something.

Why not create more nutritional information for people? You
don't have to remove supersizing.. people can think for
themselevs and decide what they wnat to ingest. Why not add
nutrition classes in school? Educate children to eat
healthy... exercise... then supersizing wouldn't be an
issue.

There's plenty of oil in my city.. but im not gonna go drink
it.

If people were more educated about what's in mcdonalds
foods, then maybe they wouldn't eat it so often.

But no, most people have trust in what is given to them..
just like the media. People trust it's the truth. and are
naive about it.. so they tend to believe it. Cause the
government wouldn't lie to them.. ofcourse not.

haha

Yea, there's definatly a lack of hope.. because American
culture seems to be so far down the drain... but there's
plenty of children... who really need help , and there's
gonna be plenty more children... and it's sad cause they
have no choice in this.. there the ones who we should focus
on. Adults can think for themseleves.. be lazy... over-eat..
not care... but it shouldn't continue to be a genenic
pattern.

There's so many things that need to be changed in order for
people to live healthy and be content with their lives...
it's very un-motivating to think about it. So I could
honestly care less what people wnat to consume, cause if I
did it'd drive me madd.
