Listened to surripere on the bus this moring. I never realised how abstract dreamy it is. I just watched landscape, buildings and people passing by. Almost felt like Virtual reality with the best soundtrack ever :)

i'm not too fond of the song at the end when they attempt to stop the rhythm and start doing mundane shit with it. other than that its a really great song.

They could have done it better towards the end. All that random crap is annoying. I prefer when the synth is in the song.

surripere is always a highlight when i listen to draft. overall the whole album is my favourite autechre album. had some great listening experiences with it....
it's respectable how consistent autechre has been with quality releases...

While we're on the topic of Draft, is there anyone else here who loves Theme of Sudden Roundabout as much as me? I never heard anyone mention it.

The one with the farting-sounds? :) Nah. My favourite is track3. I love how it suddenly changes into a electrinica/hiphop-hybrid.

I find it hard to differentiate tracks on Draft. It can be done, but it's much more suited to listening in long exposures. For example, I love Surripere and Theme of Sudden Roundabout as much as the next guy, but I couldn't really isolate them.. the rest is so damn good. Although, track 2 .. the one with all the I's and V's kinda gets boring after a while. Still.. great album.

Surripere is my favorite after roundabout. I waited far too long to listen to that album in depth; it's quite good if you give it a chance.

Doesn't anyone like Xylin room best? It's one of the most rhythmicaly complex autechre tracks... I always get lost into it. It is my favorite on the album!!!

seems like the mp3's i got are in not very good quality. maybe they're from the casette promo? well, i think i need to hear draft in better quality to maybe appriciate it more.

The two tracks in the beginning of the album are very evil in a sneaky hidden way. In fact with xylin room autecah created a completely mechanic sonic being and convinced the audience that it was biological. I wish the rest of the tracks were as innovative as those two but still I really fucking like the album!!! Now that I come to think of it the last track on the album makes a good job out of forcibly mutating pretty standard lp5 material into abstract madness!!!

it's just a similiar structure. otherwise you'd have to call pop songs copies of every other pop song.
