hdtv version screenshots: lazy link 1 LAZY LINK 2 LAZY LINK THREE!!!!
sorry, those who don't own an xbox don't get to play this awesome game. D: but you can be marginally satisfied with an artist's rendition of what the ps2 version WOULD look like if it existed:

I got it today...
It's been hyped up like nobody's business, and it more or less lives up to it, big props for that. Gorgeous, brilliantly designed game, and the fighting is much more than just button mashing. You can really make this guy do anything, and it feels like a dream... except for the lackluster camera. It isn't horrible, but it's never at the distance I want it to be, and pressing R to center it just isn't enough control for me. It's a real sorespot on an otherwise breathtaking game.
It's hard as fuck, too. So it lives up to the other 3 NES Gaidens... 15 years later, and I've still never beaten Ninja Gaiden 3.

Mine should arrive on Monday. Looking forward to it, just hope there isn't a lot of animal bullshit, like having to kill bats and cougars and retarded shit like that.

it's ninjas, then samurai, then imperial soldiers, then black ninjas (fuck!), then fiends (FUCK!!!), and that's what i'm fighting now. i'm on level 6, and this game is hard as shit.
the most beautiful graphics i've ever seen though, and a combat engine that is so good it's actually difficult to play because of the firehose-like spray of semen all over the controller.

i FINALLY was able to play ninja gaiden this weekend. my friend has an Xbox, and he rented it.
Ninja Gaiden rocks SO hard! my only problem whatsoever was the camera - sure wish they would have given you more control over it, i've found it to give me problems regularly. other than that, i love everything about this game.
to be honest, the game is not that difficult once you realize what you're doing. I've found the best strategy for fighting enemies is to let them strike first, then counter, then beat the shit out of them. Unless they're gun or magic-using enemies, then you rush them like crazy. I played this all day today from the beginning on Normal, and i'm at Chapter 6.
and the control - egads, they're perfect! Counter attacks and aerial combos are easy (yet must be used wisely), the charge attack engine is genius, platforming is smooth enough to not be a chore (running up/along walls is a cinch), shooting the bow in first-person is DAMNED useful, especially when taking out bitch enemies you can't reach who will shoot you when trying to cross a gap.
anyways, i love it. one of the best games i've played in a good while. nice to see that xbox finally has some more software that is worthwhile. hopefully fable will continue this new trend. if not, halo 2 will for sure. by the way, release date is set for this fall. :)

i beat this game. it took me about a month. when you get to level 8 or so the game gets so much unbelievably harder. it's got some wicked ass cutscenes as well.
all i have to say is fear the pirhana ghost fish. they fucking suck.
