Has anyone seen any of the trailers for the movie "Advent
Children" yet?

yes. they look gorgeous, but i still think square was full
of shit when they said it would be "too easy" to make a game
sequel.......

Looks pretty good. Sephiroth doesn't look like I'd expect,
he's a bit... more feminine. Great animation though, and I
loved the music in the trailer. The FF7 theme is one of the
best.

yes im excited.

havent seen the trailer but ive seen many screen shots.

I absolutely love the idea of going back and checking on
former characters from one of the greatest games ever.

they need to do it more often....

Halo! Those kind of graphics and character designs lend
themselves to computer animation perfectly. And it's a big
franchise... best selling novels and all that geeky ish.

I want a Max Payne movie.

howbout a Blizzard movie?

Diablo

Warcraft

Who fucking cares, make one of 'em!

Plus, they already make awesome movies in the games
themselves, they just need to expand them.

Anyone seen some of the movies in The Frozen Throne? WOW!

I remember seeing an ad for warcraft III when I was at a
movie theatre, I saw huge fucking CG orcs rushing at me on
screen and I nearly shit my pants. A FUCKING WARCRAFT
MOVIE!!! but alas, it was an ad for the game

Wait they're making a movie using the FF7 story?!?!?!

offline D-Steak from Kansas City, Mo. (United States) on 2004-03-03 14:22 [#01097785]
Points: 1376 Status: Regular

The ad you saw was probably for the demo that was released
only in AMC theatres.

Yeah, FF7 advent children is a dvd that is roughly an hour
long that explains what happens about 3 years after the
events of FF7.

Doesn't sound very original, but I can objectively say that
I have enjoyed every single blizzard game and expansion
since warcraft 1...

I think this is the link people want.

And it looks crap, just something for CGI freaks and diehard
FF7 fans to wank over.

Don't get me wrong, FF7 is my favourite computer game of all
time, they just should've left the story well alone.

why the hell did Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within, suck so
badly?

and why was it in space?

did they think that the tried and true chocobo formula was
stale or something?

The Spirits Within had nothing to do with Final Fantasy,
where as Advent Children occurs a few years after FF7, and
actually has some connection to the games (one of the best
ones at that).

it was good! people who hadn't played ff7 wouldn't
understand much (especially the seemingly "deus ex machina"
appearance of the people from the game), though, so it's
definately a movie for fans!
