Have you ever invented something?

What was it?

Please describe your invention(s) and (if possible) post
either a photo or a drawn picture of it.

or, you could post about what you would like to invent, or
what you think should be invented.

use your imagination!

i invented a bong made out of a mason jar that would kill
you if you smoked tobbaco out of it.

that one didn't go over so well.

well asking questions is a great start!
now you can continiue by asking

a) what makes people happy?

or

b) what makes people unhappy?

then just write down your answers,
and see if you can do something with them. Perhaps asking
more specific questions!

sure, asking questions is great start...it would take a
brilliant mind to invent something universal tho - and i
don't have a brilliant mind :)

nope. i tested it a the radio station where pomme worked
when we were 16, then, 15 minutes later when i could walk
again i retired it in one of our pal's basements.

it never really got out of the prototype phase.

btw can you really answer those questions?
maybe im just one confused individual but i definitely don't
know what makes me happy or unhappy...if i knew this i'd do
it for myself already :)

well..
e.g. what makes me happy:

* good music.

now one could think of lots of related questions:

* What would improve my listeningexperience?

it depends on what kind of experience I want.
* A live-show would be great, and it'd take me close
to the artist.
* Or I can just be in my house and relax every muscle/organ
so all that is left is my ears, breath slow/deep, perhaps
turn down the lights and really focus on the sounds that I
am hearing.
* Or other senses can work together with the music to create
an experience together, e.g. a musicvideo works for the eye
and the ear.

well I will have to go on a quite long time now to get to
actual things, and perhaps in this case the most
"innovative" thing I could come up with would maybe be
something to stimulate my senses with while listening to
music - that is'nt visual.

Perhaps some food you can buy that goes with the music you
want to listen to - or some smells you can inhale to create
an experience together with the music.
Abstract tastes / smells together with abstract music.
I am totally lost in my text.

when i become a genetic engineer i'm going to invent a
retractable butt-tube™ (like an elephant's trunk), so
people can take a dump standing up.

great for traveling, and those nasty gas station bathrooms.

people are increasingly detatched from nature by technology,
so, i think they feel increasingly intimidated by it, and
uncomfortable in it.

not to mention the fact that through massive marketing
schemes by corporations, and drug companies we are
conditioned to feel unhappy. and, that by buying their
product we can attain happiness. true happiness is only a
prescription away, or one SUV out of reach.

tv shows & movies pump exciting versions of reality down our
throats that aren't at all like what we experience in our
mundane daily lives, which makes us feel all the more
unfulfilled.

that being said, a hundred or so years ago happiness was
only having to work 80 hours a week, a meal that wasn't
maggot infested, and having all four limbs when you died.

yeah.
the thing is, nothing beats nature, especially when it comes
to good air/environment VS bad (polluted) air/environment
and good food VS bad food.
But all technology isn't bad... As they say at Rebelscum;
"you couldn't explode a live-drummer into a million
distorted pieces..."

the wings made great soda.

yes, ice cream cone remainders

essentially it would be a bag of the end of ice cream cones,
full of ice cream - they would be about an inch long and you
could toss a couple in your mouth for shits and giggles

always liked the end the most and always wanted a bunch of
em w/o having to eat 10 whole cones

ive debated "inventing" this but im lazy and busy - odd
combination

Me and my mate invented a bong that you could flavour the
smoke by putting different combinations of liquid in three
different containers that the smoke filtered through. I
recall cherryade and mouthwash was particularly awesome.
