Hello my good sir. KOTOR finished over the course o' the
night, and now I'm wondering how to go about installing it..
I've got 4 folders full of ktr.xxx files (where xxx = a
number), and one .sfv file each but no software I already
have knows how to recogize these file types... Is there a
separate decompression program I need? (these files remind
me of how rar files work..) Thank ye kindly.

ah yes, question number 2: do you, by any chance, have
experiencing burning Dreamcast games from suprnova as well?
I still have my DC at home, and there are still some games I
wouldn't mind checking out..

ok I've found out taht sfv is the 'simple file checker' file
type, and I downloaded an SFV program but can't get it to
really do anything... so I'm not really any better off than
when I started. :P

ok so the .000 files are apparently rar-able, I opened one
in winrar and got a .bin and a .cue file.. I've seen these
before so I know I'm on the right track now, but I still
don't know what to do with al lthe individual bin and cue
files..

Well, the bin and cues are the disc images. You have two
options:

Load up the cue files in nero, cdrwin or something like that
and burn them to CD. You'll then have copies of the discs,
the drawback of this is that you have to waste time/cds
doing it.

The best thing you can do though, is download daemon tools -
a virtual cdrom program - you can load the .cues into this
and it will act as though you have inserted a disc with the
.bin image burned onto it into a drive. You can download it
here

when youve installed it you need to copy the crack over I
think it's on the 4th disc.

So if I were to burn them to a cd, i'd just transfer the
files in the order I get them out of the .000 files? like
bin+cue 001, bin+cue 002, etc? Or is there a different order
that I would burn them in?

as for the daemon tools, when installing the program, do I
leave it at the default for bus driver and miniport driver
name? (d344bus and d344prt respectively).. thanks for your
help man.

Uhh.. once you've extracted the .xxx files you'll have the
images, in this case 4:

swg-kotor1.cue
swg-kotor1.bin

swg-kotor2.cue
..etc

these represent a disc each, doesnt matter what order you
burn them in as long as you do them all. Dunno about the
daemon tools, just leave everything at default, enable a
virtual drive and load a .cue.
