i don't have much burnt music cd-rs... and the ones i have,
i keep forgetting about and i don't listen to them often
because of that.

i have mostly real cds and mp3s... don't know the ratio but
i know that i have more real cd's : )

are we taling Audio here, or data?

I have more burnt Data CD's than Audio - I keep all my audio
as AAC encoded files on my hard drive

60/40 is looking to be about the norm,

why haven't any of those people smart enough to avoid a
music buying addiction posted yet, no-ones said "I have 99%
pirate cds" yet,....

C'mon don't be shy

never burn cd 's myself, sometimes friends give me some but
they always end up laying in a drawer, i've got about 30
cd's on 300 originals cd's: 90% are real from the cd's i've
got, including vynil it becomes 97,5% i guess, Í can say
i'm clean and don't have to be ashamed off myself, btw i
don't like cd burning, i'm totally against it cause in my
eyes kills a lot of the smaller music artists

burning cd's as apposed to buying them is the intelligent
thing to do, but also the (politically) wrong thing to do,
depends if you care more about yourself or some guy behind a
drum machine in some far away country

i have about 5 burnt cd's...a friend brought some cd's and
ask me to burn him copies, so i did and while doing that i
burn't a copy for myself aswell...but it's not my kind of
music so i never listen to that really. (i know there's u2,
madonna, lenny krawitz and limp bizkit albums an i burnt
astrobotnia 2 as well - that os 5 hehe).
but i have some mp3's-mainly stuff that isn't available
anymore, so if i'd burn these that ratio 0.5% would get up
to about 5%...

yeah, i think warp should package their vinyl with serial
numbers or somethin', by which you could obtain mp3 files of
a release for free on Bleep...

i normally just record them into my computer anyhow when i
first listen to 'em, so it's no problem for me.

i was thinking about that the other day. i reckon if you d/l
some mp3s on bleep then bought the album / cd you should get
a refund for the price of the mp3s, i think that would be a
great way of selling things

offline tolstoyed from the ocean on 2004-02-28 12:48 [#01092819]

yeah... that would be a good idea too... i'd really hate to
see Mp3 commerce lead to cds and vinyl (and their sweet
beautifull packaging) being phased out altogether...

i have about ten burnt cds, mainly from friends.

about 1200-1300 vinyl
about 150 cds.

i am not a big fan af burnt cds at all. i like to see the
album art, liner notes etc.

i also enjoy being a consumer.

I don't know how many originals, and I've got a headache so
I don't wanna count them.
but maybe around 200 or something.
I have a couple of burned cds but they are compilations of
music I have on my originals, and some mp3s maybe.
I don't burn cds for myself, I do it e.g. to bring music on
trips, to parties and such.

nacmat, do you use Discogs?... by the way, do you like
something from Mecano? I'm looking for their "Descanso

a recent spanish re-issue, you know, the kind of remastered
cd's or something similar

mecano is pop... that album is a classic... but far from the

I know nothing about the release status actually...
