When I pasted that IP address in the ctrl-v thread you
recognised that it is a quakeworld server. My question is
this: do you play quakeworld?

If any other rude members have somehow "accidentally" made
their way into this private thread then I guess you can tell
me if you play quakeworld as well. I am willing to bet that
I am the best quakeworld player on xltronic!

In case you missed it the first time, horsefactory, my good
friend, what are your thoughts on this:

A harrowing image that brings an overwhelming sense of
empathy to my heart. I have had many friends in this
situation. If you are unaware of what is going on in this
picture allow me to explain:

The horse is a slave to the evil ceremony known as "Spin the
horse". This practice, although abolished in most civilised
countries, still takes place in less intelligent/developed
countries such as France, Scotland, and Russia.

The ceremony itself works as follows: a ripe horse is picked
from one of the many horse-trees in the area by the
"Captain", and is placed on a stationary platform. The
Captain then gathers as many people as he can to shout
insults at the horse. These insults can range from mild
terms such as "Idiot horse" to the deeply offensive "Gay
idiot horse". By this time the horse is incredibly riled up
and attempts to make its way off the platform to attack his
scathing enemies. However, when this happens, the Captain
pulls a lever and the platform begins to spin.

A camera is affixed to the platform in a way such that the
horse's head is visible on screen at all times (as
demonstrated in DJ Xammax' picture.) Most platforms are
known to reach speeds of up to 5,000 RPM, however in
Scotland there are rumours of a 10,000 RPM platform. The
platform keeps spinning until the horse becomes permanently
dizzy, it is then turned off and the horse is left to wander
around in an eternal state of delusion; he becomes a
complete laughing stock.

You can stop this torture by sending just £900 a month to
DJ Xammax, myself, or my good business partner virginpusher.
Please help.

I have to be honest and say that it was merely a bizarre
conincidence as I have never played Quakeworld in my life.
Needless to say though, if I was to play it. I would
be a G.I Ginger on it.

BAM!

sorry to have got your hopes up about this.

No problem, I wonder if anyone here plays it.

Would you recommend I did?

Not really as the community is virtually non-existant these
days and it's only a "hard core" that is left, so if you
were to start playing it would be really hard to enjoy it as
everyone that is left is really really good. It's also a bit
of a twat to set up properly with all these 3rd party
clients being made and stuff.

I like a challenge.

But I would NEVER take on Burt Reynolds!
