Check that you don't have the right channel muted, or panned
to the left on one of the mixer strips.

hmm, dont have any problems with that card...
you have the problem with both the analog AND the spdif
input?
you got the pci or the usb version?
many people have trouble with the pci 2496, lots of driver
problems.. maybe reinstalling the driver helps. make sure
you rule out you're not doing anything wrong (just sending
the right channel.. some non-soundcard related things)
also, fiddle around with that delta's software mixer thingy
(which btw looks pretty AWFUL dontcha think?)

You 100% sure it's connected to the computer properly?
That's normally the sort of thing that would cause this
problem.

everything's connected properly, I had sound in the right
channel at one point actually, but I haven't been able to
get it back since.. there are rediculous driver problems
with this soundcard.. it's not digitally signed, xp doesn't
recognize its logos, and there isnt an xp version even.. the
instructions only give explanations up to win NT... it's a
mess. and yeah that mixer sucks.

I don't know what half this shit means? what is s/pdif???

well, the fact that it's not "digitally signed" doesn't mean
anything. on the m-audio website i found drivers for xp
btw.... install those after removing the old ones.
spdif is a digital audio standard.

if you had sound in the right channel temporarily, it sounds
like something to do with the connector. try rotating the
plug in the connector, or better yet, getting a nice
connector that you can be sure is functional.

s/pdif = sony philips digital interface

Driver problems suck.

I bet you're putting a mono 1/4" plug into a mini-phono
adapter and then into the sound card. Or something. You may
have had sound in both channels at one point cause something
wasn't plugged in all the way.

This is why you need a mixer!

About the drivers: make sure you have the latest revision
from the m-audio website. UI don't give a fglying fuck up a
bearded hag's ass whether or not they're signed to Bill
Gates's specifications, they're rock solid.

yup.. it turns out that's what the problem was.. I was too
lazy to find a stereo converter and opted for the mono one
closest to me.. oooops

thanks for your help .. fa'realz :)
