Being signed on Rephlex is a badge period. Its the penical of cred. Its got nothing to do with money. Its all about respect. If anyone got signed to Rephlex from this board they'd be King (or Queen if they were ...) of Xltronic wouldn't they? |

I suppose in a way. Obviously having a release through a label like Rephlex would be something you could piss other geeks off with, but more I think any label wanting to release music I have made would just make me chuffed because someone somewhere felt it was good enough to release. I wouldn't think any better or worse of anyone off the board just because they are signed to a particular label. I just take people as I find them. |

I'm sure some people do...but why the fuck should it just be handed to you on a plate? If you make the effort to put your own stuff out, either by yourself or with mates, then you are more likely to be signed or have your album rereleased on a larger label. |

BUT...it was a rather unorthodox demo which obviously caught their ear...I would tell you what I was told it was but I won't because I will try the same thing at some point...if one cheeky scouser can do it I reckon another can. |
