I'm a stodgy fart so I stuck woth Mozilla until today. But
Firefox is much faster, and the mouse gestures work reliably
now, so yeah.

The Russians built a top secret jet cAlled Firefox which was
partly controlled by the mind. Clint Eastwood went into the
Soviet Union and stole it and saved the world and stuff.

One thing that annoys me is I can't just erase the http://
from a URL, prefix it with inurl: and click on search to
have Google find all indexed pages in a given domain. I'd
have to cut and paste all that mess into the separate search
field. So Mozilla still does that better...

Firefrox is indeed great :) The 0.8 is a noticeable
improvement to 0.7. It's quite bizarre the change. I didn't
think there'd be anything but there is :D

Thunderbird is also rocking my world!

running a Mac, tried FireFox, and it seems nippy
enough....one gripe though - the button widgets are Windows
style, and so are dropbox widgets in webpages :(

not to my liking

I noticed that. In general I think IE6 is much faster. I've
been using Firefox for a few days now, and I'm not impressed
really.

IE6 is by far NOT the best browser out there. Its core is
pretty good, but the shell just stinks. Tabbed browsing is a
must for any browser these days, same goes for integrated ad
blockers. I get the impression though, that those Microsoft
cunts are either too lazy or just don't give a fuck about
updating their dated, vulnerable for spy- and malware,
clunky ass web browser.

the core of IE is horrible, and is holding webpage design
back, by it's truely horrendous standards support.

and, don't expect an upgrade to IE for another two years...
at which time you will need to upgrade your entire OS.

meanwhile lesser known, and better browsers will continue to
improve... and fight for 3% of the userbase. :'(

Except for the upgrade in SP2 for XP of course.
The only major IE upgrade is in Longhorn but that means:

1) Upgrading your OS to get a new browser. Yeah right

2) A whole new world of pain as new security holes are
found.

If Microsoft stopped hacking their own code to make Office
and their like work it would be a much better system. It's
ridiculous that there's programs that rely on bugs in
Windows to actually work. So when they come to fix the bug
they just do a hacking job to get it. They should be more
brutal and stop the bug outright. Then that company would
have to solve the problem themselves for writing shit
software. It's a vicious circle.
