Electronic RADIO FRIDAY NIGHT Feb 20, 12-3am ( PST/GMT-8 ) KUCI 88.9 FM (Irvine, CA) Listen Online @ -- PRESS RELEASE:: EL CLON *LIVE* Debut-Performance + Giveaway (Technically Sat, Feb. 21, 12-3am, PST) Digital::Nimbus hosts Pietrobot & Freakquency Modulator are proud to announce the debut KUCI performance of El Clon (a.k.a. El Dylan) from Riverside, California. In support of his upcoming Skor Records 12" EP, El Clon's electronic music is deliberate, rather than experimental. Influences such as John Frusciante, Aphex Twin, Nobukazu Takemura, Download, Skinny Puppy, The Cure, Brian Eno, Sonic Youth, Aki tsuyuko and Autechre are not too far off in the distance. Each piece is steeped in carefully planned innuendos while a consciously syrupy sound draws you in with interlocking melodies and keeps you there while the story unfolds. The use of ravaged voice samples, crisp chimes and startling drums adds to the feeling that you are somehow able to hear the subtle suggestions of the muse behind the music. Digital::Nimbus will also be giving away copies of El Clon's self-released CD's! LINKS:: EL CLON BIO/INFO:: El Clon has been playing guitar since 1987 and fiddling w/ synths and drum machines since '91. He also played an integral roll as a guitar player/programmer in a noise/rock band for most of the 90's until 1998 when he began to develop electronic sound sculptures. In 2002 he baptized the 'El Clon' moniker taken from a great Telenovela from Brazil about a clone and his girlfriend.
