there was a program that adaptec packaged with toast called
jam with which you could amplify or soften either/both
channels of a track and create semi-complex fades between
tracks without altering the original tracks, preview the
whole thing in realtime and then burn directly from that
program. So fuckin' useful, essentially a really easy to
use mastering program. Now that Roxio does toast, i haven't
seen said jam bundled with toast. Is there a comparable
program out now, particularly for mac osx?

i think in the toast 6 package jam is included. not certain,
i always either mix the tracks on my turntables, or just
load the tracks in toast with no mixing.

checked it out, and no it was not included. don't of any
similar programs either. prefer to do my mixing in realtime.
