oh yeah and this a big one.. i'm playing a rare if not
unreleased ulrich schnauss remix of mojave 3 (better known
as SLOWDIVE). it's only on a rare radio station promo as far
as i know. should be very nice.

if you tune in to this show and like electronic and other
types of "different" music you should like a lot of it! give
it a try, support your fellow xltronic member and maybe hear
some music you haven't heard before.

john peel will always be available on the bbc radio 1 site
as an archive stream.

on in 10!

cool, acrid, thanks for listening

virginpusher you're very observant but this thread isn't
about my internet habits, it's about my show and the music
everyone can hear if they allow themselves! come on, don't
you guys ever feel like "surprise me, you bastards?" it's
the same principle. you might be surprised to hear something
you love from an artist you've never listened to before or
had written off. plus of course there's all the safe stuff
on here, warp, rephlex, etc.

virginpusher, your warp disrespect list is a dope track.. i
downloaded it when you made a thread about it, really
interesting what you did w/ the various voices from xlt
members

yep sean paul instrumental in the background.. i try to keep
it silly except when i'm pissed (like i was when i was
talking about the stolen cd's here)

dobbin i played the cd track so nothing backwards..
labradford are definitely better than sigur ros, but
godspeed? that's debatable..

hi weezy :)

i'm going to try to fit in some bjork, outkast, and
radiohead at the end, just not the tracks i had intended..
i'll do those next week since they go together

Chester would introduce sifl and ollie and seemed as though
he was mildly retarded or severely damaged via drugs. I
could never tell

Sifl and ollie was a sock puppet show on MTV in the early to
mid 90's.

Sorry to travis to fuck the thread up :/

that's ok, i like sifl and ollie

listen for the worldclass tapdancing(!) in this talib kweli
song from savion glover.. very bizarre thing to throw into a
track

have you heard the grey album by dangermouse yet? is any of
that broadcastable? thanx for playing t raumschmiere btw

offline titsworth from Washington, DC (United States) on 2004-02-18 15:22 [#01079230]
Points: 14550 Status: Lurker

np dobbin, i hope you reply to email later when you get the
chance (if you haven't already)

haven't heard dangermouse's remix album yet, but i really
want to. i read that the beatles' representatives handed him
a cease and desist order so it's now officially out of print
and rare. i don't think it would be broadcastable because i
think the jay-z a capella album was all unedited (compared
to all the nas remix albums, as nas' label only releases the
clean a capella albums on vinyl). the only track i could do
would be the remix of the jay-z song i played last week
("PSA").

it was my track, ceri.. he hadn't showed up yet, but unlike
the first 2 weeks this semester, he DID finally arrive. he
looks like a cross between bob marley and cheech marin. one
of the few "grown up" (ie: non-student) dj's at the station.
seems nice but looks like he smokes crack. at least i can
count on getting an extra 5 minutes each week if i need it.
so many shows i go over with my playlist. i finally figured
out how many songs i could do, approximately, each week, but
now i have to block that out and just come up w/ as many as
i feel because there's a strong possibility i'll get to them
all.

come on AIM, we can try the file transfer
