Ok to talk about Stupid Dance Music?

I used to listen to aphex, autechre, and all that
intelligent stuff, but now after having destroyed my brain
through excessive drinking, I find myself listening to
stupid dance musiks like french house or SNAP.

Anywho, winterkalte rule!!!!

:badger:

Interestingly this could show the brain dumbing effects of
alchohol. Through the excessive use it tore through precious
thought producing cells. Now all you are left with is french
house.

I for one dont feel your pain as i still blast draft 7.30
when drunk. Although Kid A is my first choice.

Actually i drink to th limits and listen to hardcore metal
or classic rock most of the time anyways.... but i love
passing out to kid a.

Draft 7.30 = craptastic

confield is quite the release IMO. AE raised the bar for
themselves on this release. It could be debated as to
weather or not 7.30 even comes close but i will admit 7.30
had magic all of its own.

I'd rather personally not compair these two as it does an
injustice of sorts in my eyes. Who knows.

I once fell, totally drunk, asleep in the train with VS
chocolat wheelchair album repeating on my discman, I woke up
150 km further then the station I had to get out; they woke
me up and asked me for my ticket. Alcohol Kills your brain
but it doesn't kill your music flavour

SNAP, Culture Beat, Robin S., Yaz, etc... I listen to things
of that nature quite regularly.

azatoth233: I don't like anime.

Clic:

I burnt a mix CD last night it has:

Aqua - Barbie Girl
Yoko Kanno - Information High
LA Style - James Brown is dead
Haddaway - What is Love?
SNAP - Rhytm is a Dancer
Ayumi Harusaka - Boys and Girls (Push Remix)
??? - Dominator
Rotterdam Terror Corps - God is Gabba
Apotheosis - O Fortuna
Praga Kahn - Injected with a Poison

and am listening to it now at work. It really gets the
mind on structural engineering

pf: "Barbie Girl" has a good beet, a killer hook, and you
can dance to it. The interplay between the gruff male
vocals and the squeeky girls vocals is GENIUS. One must see
the beauty of things in this life.

horsefactory: Usually 1-2 months before people realize my
genius.

First of all he says "Draft 7.30 = craptastic". Then he says
things like "GORGUTS!",
"D/N/T!" and ":oldfag:". I have none idea of what any of
these mean, but they are certainly strong indicators of
faggotry.

In this forum you should Praise Authechre and Merzbow, not
AQUA!

horsie:

GORGUTS = excellent deth metal group
D/N/T = Do Never Test
:oldfag: = you wouldn't understand....

Faggotry? Those people prefer the term "heteroflexible"
these days. Not that I am one.

I consider myself to be metrosexual. :oldfag:

pf: I'll praise autechre and merzbow when I feel like it.
But right now I feel like letting the beat control my body.
Do you ever let the beat control your body?

Its all just electronic music.

PS horsie: I have every autechre release. Draft 7.30 was
just boring retread. deal.

when returning home drunk i find a nice blast of 'making
orange things' is good to clear the head an annoy your
flatmates, then drift of to sleep with a bit of
tango'n'vectif or surfing on sine waves
