i like it. 9 to 16 every day. sitting in my office.. not much work (except for a running task of keeping the web-pages up-to-date), but when there is work, it is actually fun work, so I'm pretty satisfied... too bad that the job is just for one year, though (civil duty.. i serve the army-duty doing useful work for charity-organisations or cultural or educational instances.)

think of the job as a way to get what you want. if you think "if i go another month, I will finally have saved up for [...]" instead of "damn! i spend too much time here.. this is boring," it will make things much easier!

I think it's gonna take more than a few days unfortunatley, but yeah, it's never forever =o)
in regards to jobs and everything, being depressed is depressing and that's how you get stuck in a rut.
All you have to do is change the way you look at things, and look a little further ahead and you do start to feel better, wich is all you need to get you back on your feet (just!) and start making positive changes in your life, such as activly looking for a job (or new job)
If your ever fed up with your job, don't be afraid to look for others.
I also recommend going to interviews every now and then even if your not activly looking for a job, just to keep yourself confident
well, that's my 2 cents
and remember, your dog still loves you.

up until yesturday I was a carnie for an entire year. no joke. today at 7am I start my new job installing cable.
being a carnie is fun though. at first you think it's like a big game and you get to play with the rides you remember from when you were a kid. but eventually it becomes kinda a pain. loses it's novelty. I still like opperating the ferris wheel though that was my favorite.
I sound like I'm fully of shite.

I have the worst job in existence.
I work in an industrial laundry for sweet fuck all pay from 14:00 to anywhere between 19:00 and 2:00 (mostly 21:00)
It is shitty and hot and scummy and grotty and the people are all dicks, especially the guy i work alongside of on 3 of my 5 days there.
But it will eventually pay off when i buy some equipment and record sound samples from there to use for an album i want to do. Which will probably sound like the snares track off go and do likewise, hopefully better.
Just wish i could have recorded the sounds of the boiler shutting down and starting up when they repaired it cos the sound rocked!!!

I'm a student at university, but I also have two jobs.
1) I work as a master control operator for the college tv station. it's not as important as it sounds; you monitor on-air programming and switch tapes and stuff.
2) I work at the equipment access center, so I sign out cameras and microphones and stuff to film and video students. It's okay, but I wish they would have trained me better. I hate it when people ask me to check something on an Aaton XTR film camera and I have no idea what they're talking about.

pogo, ur right, i supose in the long long long run it will be worth it....
but i think its wrong to say "look at what the job gives you" because of that mindset i've, without even realizing it until recently, become a very materialistic person, all that matters is what the job can afford me.....
but yea, i got off work early today, managed to catch some of the sun before it went down....good

i work at a bank. it's ok, except i hate it. i hate it because i'm unhappy with my life. i dread going and i wait for the days i have off. on those days i tend to do barely anything and then i dread going back. it usually ruins the whole day. i just got back from a ten day vacation and the last few days will filled with anxiety.
i just crammed my whole summer into a week and it was thoroughly dissapointing.
my sister hasn't worked in 2 years. i despise her.

Eh....my job is OK. I work for a Printing Press atm. It's nice hours...2 till whenever we're finished (usually between 8-9, but no later then 10) and it's M-F. It's just a nice job to have while I'm going to school, which starts the 23rd. :[ I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with my life. I would like to be an IT tech working with networks and the like, but the computer field is not what it use to be. It's not stable at all, so it gives me my doubts. I figure if I don't have at least something figured out or in the works by the time I'm 21, I'm just going to go join a Union. I figure I wouldn't mind being a surveyer! You know those guys that stand on the side of the road taking measurements and pictures! I bet that wouldn't be too bad. ^^ Sorry to hear that everyone is depresed. All I can say is stick with it until you find something better and believe me there is a better job for ya....just gotta keep looking.

pays ok too. i am fairly happy in my job, but am going to university in 2005 to study marine biology, so i will probably retire then.
