ps: maria and anyone else...

if you dig some ambient, you should d/l the companion ep to
this "first fruits of the newfallen snow". the last track on
"all fruits ripe" is a remix of a track on that, and i used
sounds and cuts from various tracks on "ffotnfs" on "afr".

I like the ragga Mcing on the title track. Did you sample
that or do you know an MC?

303: i flew to jamaica and lived with some hardcore 40 year
old rastas for 6 months in a tin hut while we smoked out
everyday and read political books, beat on paint cans with
sticks, and slept in the sand all day.

just kidding, i sampled it ;)

It would have been pretty cool and dedicated if you actually
did do that. Maybe you should tell people you did it that
way in the future.

much more exciting than explaining your sound forge cut and
paste technique to a clueless bystander. :P

this stuff is great

too bad its only 10 minutes or summat

does stephen king agree with stealing his voice? (it is him,
isnt it) :D you should drop him an email or something...

i like the use of all the vocal thingeys.. esp on track 1...

Ohh but wait...

Use of Venetian Snares sample in track 3 + similarities in
track 4 to Nanou2 =

i used no snares samples.

i didnt use stephen king's voice.

saying that 4 bears a resemblance to nanou2, i will take as
a compliment.

it's only ten minutes, but i spent since december on it.

if yr keen on more tibbar stuff, check the vibes 11 thread
and d/l that track... its a good'n

it sounded a lot like the stephen king samples on his
website

and ... well never mind

its great.

track 4 is just great. i wish you would've made that longer.
track 3 i have to say i would've preferred you would've
progressed with more massive dnb like upto sec. 41 (cut on
the vocal and single note piano progression). sorry i'm not
trying to criticize too much, just trying to give some input
you might want to reconsider. other than that its some
really sweet stuff keep up the good work.

j-ro: no i understand, with the title and all.

ct: thanks. i was going for kinda that manic loopy thing. i
didnt want to distract too much from what was being said. im
glad you enjoy it.

I didn't mean you sampled Snares, sorry. You just
used a sample he had already used.. in the track 'All the
Children are Dead'. I find it funny actually since you are
prominently anti-Snares.

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2004-02-14 14:37 [#01073345]

Talking about the Oxygenfad ep. The first track has so much
potential great punchy notes but just doesn't seem to lead
anyway which is dissapointing. It has so much potential but
just ends up repeating the same notes ad infinitum. It
definitely requires more development and it could then be a
classic.

offline promo from United Kingdom on 2004-02-14 14:46 [#01073355]
Points: 4227 Status: Addict

Track 3 on the Oxygenfad ep is nice and funky. I like this
one, this could be a grower definitely. Be nice to have a
bit of acid squelching business. This is pretty shit hot all
the same.

I have indeed, Ok so i am going t be very honest about
this.

I thought the tracks are put together very well but i think
that the tracks don't hold up very well compared to the
other tracks of yours that i have which i prefer by a long
shot. I feel these new compositions needed more development
musically that is te only problem i have.

I hope that dosen't sound harsh or anything but i feel you
would want a totally honest opinion.

its not perfect, there are flaws, but i am happy with it
yes... the direction the material went is totally
interesting and unique to me.

thats the true essence of experimental music, innit?

I agree it dose't need to sound like machines humping to be
experimental.

I think that it wasn't quite my bag, my taste is changing
quite alot at the moment.

Transitions...

a maturity to your sound now that sets it apart from the

I finally listened to this! You did some great work here.

The vocals are a nice touch in track one. Kinda gives it
some oomph!

the storm that settles is also a great track. Wow i really
havent heard your work in a long time! This turned out
great! Too bad its only four tracks!
