I'm just curious why artists choose to release the same
record on several labels?

I haven't the faintest idea, what is their motive?

example Autechre - Peel Sesions is released on Warp and
Nothing records.

autechre and squarepusher have released quite a few on
nothing (LP5, selection 16, music is rotted one note)

Probably has to do with distribution, nothing being trent
reznor's american label, warp being a uk label.

International distribution. Nothing deal with the US
release.

Yeah before Warp opened up their US branch for distribution,
Trent Reznor's label distributed a lot of Warp material in
States.
