yes, serial experiments: lain... the kind of anime that really changes your perception of life....
yes, i watched it, and i liked it. but most importantly, i feel it was... something 'important', i don't know, but it has affected me.

i loved this anime, really a nice piece of art... i just kept wanting to see the next episode, and it blew my brain away
one of the best series i never watched

matssu > i'm not sure... i've just read Noise and a little bit of Blame! (my brother got into this series), i like the graphic style of T. Nihei a lot...
from what i've read (not much, so i can't really have an opinion ^^), i'd say it is quite similar in some aspects; the blend of reality and virtuality... the normal world turned cold and mysterious, quite hostile (though in Lain it is a subjective change only, the hidden part of the iceberg - the world in apparence is "normal"... whereas in Blame! it is most like a post-apocalyptic future)... often a slow rhythm, with silent passages... i don't know about the characters, in Lain the main character is searching for truth and for her true identity - i think it is something like that in Blame! too, but i might be wrong...
yeah, i will read more Blame!, it could be a lot more similar than what i thought at first sight.
