I have a new track up that I think is pretty good. Would
anyone give me some criticism?

Machine Man's Lament

Also two new tracks there as well. Thank you in advance for
listening.

Hmm...

I LOVE the playful melodies so much and the singing. Not a
big fan of the ring mod mayhem though.

i like the bit with vocals before the bassbeat comes
in.....but then i reckon the bass is too full on and it
doesnt sound right to me.....
"whos that guy..."

So you think this track is pretty good do you? Well I've
got news for you bud, you're wrong. This track ain't good,
it's totally fucking awesome!

Love the funfair style organ playing at the beginning. What
are the words being said in this? Those loud, noisy
distorted beats are a bit too loud compared to the rest of
the track (maybe i'll just turn my speakers down), but
overall I like it muchly.

ha ha glad people like it.

here are the lyrics:
who's that guy all alone?
it's sad and lonely me.
who's that guy without a match?
it's sad and lonely me.
who's that guy alone in the corner?
it's sad and lonely me.
who's that guy looking so distraught?
it's sad and lonely me.

hehehe this song is really funny and you know it =)

the melody is really funny, makes me think of some old kid
show stuff on tv but i cant think of one exact.

the beat is also funny and "BIG" sounding wichs suits the
melody very very nice.

It's a really nice track but i dont dare to say that it is
the type of track that i could listen to for a long time or
to many times. i will keep it in my "xltronic" collection
thou. Good job

i like the cute parts better than the noisey parts. i wish
the vox were more prominent. good mastering i think except
i hear some clipping or something during the noisey parts,
maybe that's intentional. but other than that it sounds
clean, or, more polished than some of your other stuff.

not really my "bag" but good i 'spect for peeps into this
kind of music.

yay! glad you understand. yeah, the noise is meant to be
ungodly. as i've always said, i enjoy contrasts in my music.
anyways, thanks for listening / understanding. :D

Interesting. Can't say its my thing, I may change my mood
though. Certainly I know an Oddio track when I hear it
though. You've got that customary 8-bit crunchiness to
everything you do.

I agree with the others I think the timestretch/noise
element on the drums is too noisy over powers the rest of
the music. Also a bit more variation in the melody would go
down a treat.

the drum levels need a tinkering .

I don't feel I'm in the best mood to judge stuff. I'm
listening to some other Oddio stuff and they're some nice
funky beats and novel elements going on in them. My main
criticisms would be the music bogs some of the tracks down a
bit too much. The music could do with a serious lift in
particular tracks.

Of your recent tracks 'bargain bin electric angst' is my
favourite.

The beats in your tracks are definitely the strongest
element for me.

this is an old thread someone bumped. i actually had a
thread dedicated to the new tracks, but i'll go ahead and
use this one since it's here.

Gondola of Love is very similar to Machine's Man Lament,
though.
