my current assignment for social studies is Canada and War.
Let me know what you think of my essay if you got the time.
thanks

Gwely

War is mans humanitary spirit lost. It occurs today and
cannot be overlooked. Whether we be attacked directly or
not, our alliance with other countries demands our roll to
be played out in the intercontinental battlefields. Fighting
alongside our united nations empowers our force for what
many feel is the greater good. Would I fight for such a
purpose, or does a direct offence to my life be necessary
for the fuel of my expendability? My role in this cannot be
overlooked, for I am one of many…
Canada has joined in the war, to prevent others from
occurring. This now makes us the enemy to our enemy. The
Canadian spirit and support has written itself into the
history of war. My civilian status is now a target in danger
as I am seen with our Canadian name bulls eyed on my
forehead and heart. My life and safety will not condone
this, and now I am a fighter, a body count to our cause. Do
I receive the badge of cowardice for lack of support in
this? Many might ask, the answer is simply this. Canada is
seen as a mentality in the minds of our enemy and my
individuality does not exist; yet I continue to write this.
I will not write this essay on behalf of us as I am suppose
to, I will write it on behalf of my opinion. We would die
for our families and personal security, but in this case
only seen as brave to fight for the families of others, or
the greater cause be that what it may. Although this war is
seen as a direct attack on us which cries attention to
prevention, I would not holster a gun unless the flesh of my
brotherhood is harmed, not my countries brotherhood. I will
not be affiliated in any of this, because I don’t give a
flying eagle perched on a one eyed pyramid or a maple leaf
mentality about it. War tears all gratified meaning within
me.
My opinions don’t matter even though I may be told it
does. Why? We are governed with this in mind; the price of
freedom is respo

............Why? We are governed with this in mind; the
price of freedom is responsibility. And war is my
responsibility if it comes to my doorstep. If I am handed a
weapon, at least I’ll be able to vent off my teenage
angst.

I will not fight for the cause, I will not feed the fire,
and I will not speak on behalf of all Canadians.

I don't know about war, but Conan O'Brien taped 4 shows in
Toronto last week and they're airing right now. That's a
nicer story, try to do a report on him instead.

haven't you heard? we're declaring war on america during
conan, tonight... he'll be the first victim... if we can
bring ourselves to kill one of their coolest citizens,
surely we'll have no trouble wiping out all the annoying
ones...

Good God, you don't write that badly on the messageboard...

Please tell me that's a joke.

If you're serious, rewrite that in plain English, unless you
want to walk by the teacher's lounge and hear a room full of
teachers laughing uncontrollably.

you bring up an interesting point about war as a forced
homogenization of society...

i was pissed off that my teacher wanted me to write an essay
speaking on behalf of all canadians, whether we should go to
war or not. plus this guy is pro war too, so i wanted to
piss him off with a "softy" essay.

Rewrite it sober! You'll piss him off more if it's a good
coherent essay!
