...when you're using your hardware mixer and you think
you've centered an EQ pot, then spend almost a whole second
with your finger hovering over it, waiting for the pop up
number to confirm it is at exactly zero. I can't believe I
just did that...

Share your hardware software crossover stories here.

when you go to press the power button on your printer and
you try to move the mouse so that the pointed goes OUT of
the monitor and onto the button.

I really did this one.

When you type on someones face instead of speaking to them.
Also when you say LOL instead of laughing.

Last time I drove a car I was waiting for the main menu to
pop up when I put the key in order to save my game.

i once played C&C for a whole night, and the next day, while
walking around, kept seeing green status-bars over people's
heads...

Gamesplaying one:

Some steps near a mate's flat look just like the ones in Jet
Set Radio. After playing it for about 5/6 hours the previous
day, I found my "trigger finger" instinctively tightened on
the grind button when I walked near the handrail, as if I
had a pad in my hand. :)

I looked for the save button on a four track once. It was
really fucked up, just one of those things I guess. Like
putting the remote in the fridge by accident : P

When I go to the shops I expect some porn to mess up half
way through my shopping list. Then I expect an error message
telling me that I have "commited an illegal operation,
Windows will now shut down".

I need to get out more.

i don't think i've ever used ANY actual instruments to make
music besides a guitar, drums and such..

but what i see as really being more of a problem is only
using a machine like computer to express creativity or
emotion and not ever expressing that in "real" life
ever.

damnitall. it seems all my feeling is either bottled inside
my skull or only represented though text/graphics on a
screen, or emitted through some kind of speakers.
maybe some of you are the same way..

err..
that should read:

"..machine like a computer.."
