Yes that part, the way he positions himself and the visuals,
quite an experience, really need to see it in HD.

Just saw Der Untergang, wooooowww this movie caught me by
surprise, probably one of the best movies I've ever seen,
it's quite heavy and depressing, a huge contrast to american
exploit WWII movies.

matter

How can you give a film 5/5?

I know it is only your opinion, but I question how you can
think a film completely perfect? I guess it depends on what
you want from a movie. For me 'perfect' would have to be
life-changingly good, but to another it might mean something
different.

Anyway, some of those films sound good, so I will try to
watch them. :)

ferris Bueller's day off - 4/10
inside deepthroat - 7.5/10
Top Gun - 8/10
Scarface - 9/10
The Invasion - 8.5/10

With The Invasion, I didn't even know what it was about at
first, cos I got what I thought was Darrow (Law drama with
Kevin Spacey) from Cash Generator, but they put the disc in
the case. It is cool to watch a movie you have no
pre-conceptions about. That's why reviews are crap. I
usually read reviews after I have watched a film, if at all.
BTW, The Invasion is a remake of The Body Snatchers. It is
not scary, but really quite creepy. I wish it didn't have a
happy ending, though. I don't like happy endings, cos
generally life doesn't have happy endings, and I like films
to be something of a reflection of reality. Then again, what
is reality? Is to perceive to be deveiced? K, I am finished
now.

for you 5/5 is something that can never be reached, like a
graph that just can get close to 5 but never reach it. i
disagree, the graph should just be linear and / or reach
5/5. you just take your favorite movies and put them at 5/5
and go from there.

i don't want you grading my tests

'Inglourious Basterds' 7.5/10 (i think) REALLY enjoyed it

'Funny People' 4.5/10 REALLY disappointed. Rogan was good,
as was fatter smaller version of Rogan whatever his name is,
but Rogan might have to start exploring some other character
other than you know...himself, soon.

This weekend: 'Adventureland'... cant wait

I'm working part time in a DVD rental place specialising in
'classic, contemporary and curious cinema'' Along with free
internet during work, I also get to take home movies for
free! This place has a pretty good selection, I've been able
to watch some films I've been dying to see as well as some
old favourites. Since working here I have watched and highly
recommend the following:

Baraka
Gonzo
Microcosmos
The Virgin Suicides
Le Diner de Cons
Rivers and Tides !!
Man on Wire
Faster Pussycat, Kill Kill!
The day the earth stood still
Paprika
Elling
Videodrome
Taxi Driver

A little disappointing but a definitely worth one watch on
the big screen, nice to see Tom Waits as the Devil, a role
he was born to play :)
