It's a nice song but it has been played to death on TV and Radio. Also I think it is lacking in something but I'm not sure what.

gary jules is an ugly talentless fat bastard. He rehashed a tears for fears song and it got put in a movie. Big deal.

Its a good song but its been played to death over here. A shame really. It sat nicely in Donnie Darko and now it has a whole new context. I hate it when the masses get their grubby little hands on things.

it's an incredible song, and it's not played very often here (i think). I agree with you, jonesy, when the masses discover the song ...

Scum. To quote someone else: little people in little houses, like maggots - small, blind and worthless.

had to conciously avoid tv+radio so as not to get overexposed to the song. they really did overdo it in england..
not so much to preserve the track itself, but more so that i can watch donnie darko without having flashbacks to gary jules' chubby face, christmas with the relatives, only fools+horses repeats + too much turkey.. because, lets face it, that does sort of spoil the end of the film.

I've been playing it at work since getting a DD download early last year...
Amusing that the pigs in the office thought it was crap....but since it finally got a UK release, & made it way into thr charts, they've all become very fond of it...
People are STRANGE....

It is a nice song. What gets me so is it sounds as if he is saying "and I find it kind of fanny", which over here means "I find it rather vagina".
Resultingly, a new twist is added to said song.

its a tears for fears song. but gary jules sounds like he's doing a michael stipe impersination..
its played over the last few minutes of the film - when you see all the principal characters for the last time.
fits in really well.. in that context. but it made christmas number one single in the sales chart here in england + was played everywhere on every radio+tv station.

i've actually never ever heard it on tv or radio and i think it's insanely better than the original.
also, the donnie darko sdtrk, in my opinion is absolutely amazing. i think gary jules is incredibly talented.
